Life can often present us with roadblocks, hardships, and tragedies. And because of this it's sometimes easy to feel stuck and helpless. As such it can be difficult trying to figure out how to navigate such life challenges and whom to confide to about them. That’s where I come in. As a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner I care deeply about the emotional and mental health of my clients. I assess, diagnose, and treat mental health needs. In my 20 year career in mental health nursing I've worked in hospitals, behavioral health/addictions clinics, long-term care/assisted living facilities, remote telehealth nursing, etc. I help with issues ranging from depression, anxiety, life transitions, low-self-esteem, family conflict, substance abuse, poor relationships, etc. I equip clients with the tools and coping skills they need to build resiliency and develop better self-esteem, relationships, communication skills, etc. to live a healthier, more meaningful and productive life.
Dr. Tara Cousineau is a licensed clinical psychologist with nearly 30 years of experience supporting high-achieving individuals who struggle with perfectionism, self-doubt, procrastination, imposter syndrome, and burnout. Her clients are often high achieving individuals who are outwardly successful but inwardly overwhelmed—neglecting their own well-being in the pursuit of achievement. She offers a warm, collaborative space to reconnect with what truly matters and build a life of greater ease and meaning. Dr. Tara’s approach is integrative and holistic, blending mindfulness, self-compassion, psychodynamic and narrative therapies, Internal Family Systems, and mind-body medicine. She believes every person possesses innate strengths that may be hidden by life’s pressures, losses, or traumas—and that therapy is a process of remembering wholeness, even when things feel messy or uncertain. In addition to private practice, Dr. Tara serves part-time as a staff psychologist at Harvard University’s Counseling and Mental Health Services (and as such cannot see currently registered Harvard students in her private practice due to conflict of interest). She maintains a small caseload of 8–10 clients at a time in order to provide personalized care. She especially enjoys working with clients who are motivated to grow between sessions and who seek to align their inner lives with their outer aspirations. Dr. Tara sees clients in person on Friday afternoons in Newton Highlands, MA, and offers telehealth appointments on Monday and Thursday afternoons. She has advanced training in Internal Family Systems, integrated care through the Benson-Henry Institute for Mind Body Medicine, and teaching certifications in Mindfulness Meditation and Mindful Self-Compassion. She is the author of "The Perfectionist’s Dilemma: Learn the Art of Self-Compassion and Become a Happy Achiever" and "The Kindness Cure: How the Science of Compassion Can Heal Your Heart and Your World," which reflect her deep commitment to compassionate, evidence-based care.

Neesi’s approach is strengths-based, warm, and collaborative. She believes in meeting people where they are and listening to their story. I am a psychologist experienced in working with college students and young adults trying to cope with a broad range of difficulties. I have particular expertise in couples therapy and in individual therapy to treat depression and bipolar disorders, anxiety, OCD, life transitions, relationship issues, and stress. I often work with individuals who have eating disorders, personality disorders, ADHD, and substance use problems, as well. I use a client-centered and skills-oriented approach, incorporating a blend of evidence-based interventions (e.g., CBT, ACT, DBT) to individually tailor treatment to each client's unique values and goals. My style is warm, direct, and genuine, often incorporating levity and humor. I believe it is important to develop a full understanding of each client's culture to treat each individual as a whole person, and I work well with clients from diverse backgrounds, including race, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, etc. I would be honored to help you work toward addressing your unique therapy goals.

My name is Liam Lane and I have worked in the substance use treatment field for over seven years, mostly with folks experiencing homelessness. My hope is to assist individuals with a history of addictive issues to decrease cravings and impulses and work on negative self-beliefs through the use of EMDR and additional modalities deemed appropriate. EMDR 1 & 2 trained, Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), CSAT-Candidate I hold a Masters of Social Work with a certificate in trauma studies from Simmons University. My area of interest is in addiction and I am currently completing training to become a certified sex and pornography addiction therapist (CSAT). I am able to complete drug & alcohol evaluations for the Department of Transportation and the criminal justice system.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative journey. My style includes creating a warm space for my clients to work through difficult issues. I think it's okay to laugh and/or cry when you're managing stress and mental health needs. You can expect a responsive experience where you can explore ways to improve your quality of life. When appropriate, I will also provide feedback and challenge clients to try on new ways of approaching their lives.
Therapy helps people explore and experience both rough and celebrating moments, and I am with clients through this journey. My practice centers around creating a safe, non-judgmental space where anyone can reconnect with their inner strengths, as well as using skills from evidence-based practices. Through my experience of working with people from different backgrounds, I've developed deep trust in each individual's capacity for growth and self-direction. My work focuses on helping clients uncover their authentic motivations and cultivate confidence in their decision-making abilities. As an individual who comes from a different cultural and language background, I was able to connect with many who have similar struggles. I provide therapy to people aged from 13 to 40, using person-centered therapy paired with CBT/DBT, in both English and Mandarin Chinese.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that creativity is a powerful tool for self-expression and healing. I strive to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can explore their emotions, break through barriers, and tap into their inner strength. Every person is unique, and my goal is to tailor my therapeutic techniques to meet the specific needs and preferences of each client. Expressive art therapy provides an alternative form of communication, particularly beneficial when traditional verbal expression may feel limiting. Artistic expression allows for the articulation of emotions, experiences, and narratives that may be challenging to express through words alone. The focus is on the process of creation rather than the end result, allowing for a more profound and authentic exploration of emotions.
