I'm a PhD psychologist, with advanced training beyond my doctorate from Boston Psychoanalytic Society and Institute. My orientation is relational, psychodynamic therapy. This means I focus with you on whatever dynamics might have been set in motion when you were younger as well as with present day difficulties. I work with people who are struggling with feelings of sadness and anxiety, worries about self esteem, identity, friendships, relationships and career issues among many other things. Sometimes there are struggles with issues about being away from home at school, or issues about entering adulthood. I am happy to try and help with the things troubling you.I've worked with many students both undergraduates and graduate students and enjoy helping young adults sort through what might be troubling to find a more satisfying and happier way of being.

Hi there! My name is Brianna. I’m a Licensed Certified Social Worker that graduated from New York University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. My experience lies in helping children, adolescents, college students, young adults, and families with varying backgrounds, some including: anxiety, trauma, self-esteem issues, depression, neurodevelopmental disorders, and relationship concerns. Being a college student comes with a lot of demands and transitions. This time in your life, while exciting, can also be exhausting and strenuous. College life looks different for everyone! Whether you are a student-athlete, living at home, constantly in the library, in a fraternity or sorority, or anything else college may offer, you have a set of pressures you face daily. It is my goal to create an environment in which my clients feel safe and comfortable so that they can reach their fullest potential. Therapy can be difficult, but it also can be a great experience! I look forward to hearing from you and learning about how I can support you!

Sometimes the ways we learned to survive are the very things now keeping us stuck. If you’ve found yourself overthinking, constantly on edge, emotionally shut down, stuck in painful relationship patterns, or feeling like you’re carrying experiences your body never fully got to process, you are not alone! Therapy to me is not about judgment, fixing you, or forcing quick answers. It is about creating a space where you feel genuinely seen, safe, and understood while we begin making sense of what your mind and body have been holding. I offer trauma-informed, relational therapy grounded in evidence-based practice & deep compassion. Integrating ACT, IFS, and somatic approaches, I help adolescents and adults navigate complex trauma, anxiety, mood disorders, women's issues, identity exploration, and family transitions, including divorce and high conflict dynamics. As an MSW clinician with a background in psychology, criminal justice, trauma-informed advocacy, and mental health research, I bring clinical training and genuine humanity to my work. Healing isn't about becoming someone different. It's about understanding yourself with more clarity, compassion, and safety so you can live with greater freedom and connection!

Effective therapy creates meaningful, lasting, joyful change. As your therapist I can help you resolve the inner and outer conflicts that create pain and exhaustion. Life brings unchosen experiences. Sometimes we feel hurt, scared, or deeply alone. Sometimes what happens seems too big to manage. For 25+ years I have had the privilege of helping people learn to live as their "best self," able to manage their moods, thoughts and situations with compassion and skill, to make changes to reach their goals, and to find happiness. I lived and worked in Africa for 6 years, and have helped people from many cultures find their joy. My specialty is helping people understand their unique "recipe" of biology, upbringing, relationships, and current situations, and how they might work with their "ingredients" to create immediate and long-lasting positive change. My approach is practical. I integrate psychodynamic and cognitive behavioral therapies, internal and strategic family systems, EMDR and other trauma-informed approaches, and mindfulness-based stress management. Depression, anxiety, loneliness, frustration, pulls towards behaviors that lead to pain...whatever is interfering with your well-being is worth changing. Together we can produce change. Please EMAIL

Doing everything "right" but still anxious? Able to “intellectualize” your feelings but not actually process them? Traditional talk therapy hasn't worked? I primarily work with graduate students, young professionals, and professionals. I have experience working mainly with anxiety, depression, relational trauma, life transitions (e.g., transition to adulthood, stress management, grief and loss, identity exploration and development), and providing affirmation around neurodivergent, and LGBTQ+ identities. - Please refer to my PsychToday link (https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/emily-monahan-morang-north-andover-ma/1210251) for my full bio and group practice website information with also information about insurances taken. - More about me: Hello, my name is Emily Monahan-Morang. I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), and I’m passionate about helping those with late-diagnosed or suspected Autism/ADHD who want to understand how AuDHD impacts them in areas personally and professionally. Most of my patients are in their 20s and 30s, and part of the LGBTQIA+ community who struggle with anxiety, stress, overwhelm, and burnout around their high-pressure jobs/career/industry (e.g., academia, healthcare, STEM). I help them develop coping skills, set boundaries, and learn how to navigate the world as a neurodivergent person. I use a neuroaffirming approach, I have a direct, honest, and blunt style, and mainly utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, and Internal Family Systems to help manage stressors around job/career and as a neurodivergent person. Grounded and raised in a Chinese immigrant and Vietnamese refugee family, my roots and experiences have amplified my passion to shatter taboos in the AAPI community. I am committed to raising awareness and access to spaces of healing to communities of color. I will offer you a culturally-responsive, collaborative space to share your story. I aim to apply an anti-oppressive framework at the heart of my practice; and care deeply about the impact of intergenerational and race-based trauma. I value authenticity, transparency, and humor in our journey! The complexities of juggling responsibilities as a student, employee, caregiver, etc., can be super exhausting and I'm here to tell you that I see you! You are more than just a person embedded in an institution and your emotionality should be heard and cared for.

As a therapist, I specialize in supporting young adults and couples as they navigate life’s transitions, relationships, and challenges. My client-centered approach explores root causes while building practical coping skills for daily life. Using a trauma-informed lens, I integrate yoga-based mindfulness and somatic practices to support nervous system regulation and deeper healing. Psychodynamic and narrative therapy help us understand how your worldview was shaped and how it influences your present. We may also incorporate IFS based parts work to gently explore and understand the different parts of your inner experience. With training in the Gottman Method, I help couples strengthen communication, connection, and trust. Together we focus on deepening friendship while managing the practical demands of partnership. You’ll learn tools for healthy conflict resolution and collaboration, remembering you are on the same team. I am committed to creating a nonjudgmental, compassionate space where you feel safe and supported. I understand that beginning therapy can feel intimidating, but you don’t have to navigate it alone. I invite you to schedule a free 15-minute consultation to see if we’re a good fit.
