Everyone is different, and it is important that we find an approach that works best for you! Sharing your deepest and most personal hardships with someone is a huge investment of trust. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment that allows my clients to work through their challenges. It may not always seem possible, but you can become a healthier, happier version of yourself. "You deserve the BEST. You do have CHOICES. Your choices should bring you PEACE." This is the foundation on which "Dr. Kay" builds and what helped her thrive after battling major depression in college. Initially failing in her major and being forced to withdraw with an emergency mental health leave, Dr. Kay is familiar with battling the unresolved past and pressing toward hopes for the future. Dr. Kay thrives with "young folk" who are seeking to be heard, understood and healed within this unique space.
Have you ever felt like everyone else has life figured out except you? Maybe you're balancing classes, work, family, or relationships while trying to hold it all together. On the outside, you seem capable, but inside you're feeling anxious, overwhelmed, exhausted, or wondering why you can't just "push through." You're not alone. My name is Danielle Veader and I work with young adults that are struggling to find balance and enjoyment in their lives. The stress of early adulthood can be really overwhelming. Class work, parental expectations, and navigating relationships is challenging. Anxiety, depression, and/or a general sense of feeling lost can seep in. I work with clients to help them better understand and manage their emotions. I partner with them to acquire the tools and skills to better cope with the inevitable stressors of life. We all understand that life can be hard, but no one has to navigate it alone.
Please note that my practice is virtual. There are no in-person appointments available. Even after many years of work in the field, I remain amazed and reassured by the resilience and determination of people to make the changes they wish to make and begin to live the lives they genuinely desire. It takes strength and hope to reach out to someone for help with a difficulty. I honor that strength by providing a setting that nurtures those assets while simultaneously supporting the desire to change. Because change is sometimes difficult, I provide a setting that helps individuals explore desired outcomes and build new skills in a safe and confidential environment. I genuinely enjoy witnessing the growth that occurs through psychotherapy and understand that changes often continue to occur long after therapy concludes. The change and growth that transpire are testament to the power of interpersonal relationships. Whether that relationship is therapist-patient, partners or spouses, parent-child, etc., we grow and thrive when our relationships are healthy, including our relationship with our self. With this in mind, my understanding of how people change and grow is rooted in systems and interpersonal process theories. Additionally, I appreciate that difficulties are often multifaceted, having social, psychological, and biological contributing factors. My work springs from this understanding and experience and incorporates behavioral, cognitive, and dynamic interventions as appropriate.
I have been working with students and professionals for 8 years, supporting them in engaging in community, guiding them towards more confidence, contentment, and joy in their lives. I have worked with students holding diverse identities, exploring their sexuality, queerness, and gender. I understand the challenges you face from being a high achieving, high functioning, self-aware, and motivated person while finding yourself in an environment that is pushing you to your limits. It is within you to still feel joy, balance, and energy within these walls, and in your body.
Have your life transitions brought up more questions about your life? Are you experiencing symptoms that are hard to understand or put into a typical psychological category? My clients typically are looking for holistic, nontraditional approaches to therapy to help them find their own answers. If you have experienced trauma of any kind, this is a safe place to explore how your own innate resources can help you cope and heal. Hi, I’m Sierra (she/her)! I help queer, neurodivergent people-pleasers swap burnout for boundaries and self-doubt for self-love. As a lesbian woman with ADHD raised in the Bible Belt, I know what it’s like to feel both “too much” and “not enough” all at once. If you’ve found yourself here, it probably means… - You’ve spent years assuming you were broken because you’ve never had the language for the very real symptoms you’re experiencing. For example, difficulty estimating how long something will take (time imperception) or losing hours to reflecting on an interaction to make sure you’re not a bad person (scrupulosity). - You wonder, “Do other people struggle with this, or is it just me?” - You overthink social cues constantly, unsure what people want you to say or do, while everyone else seems to just know. - Asking for help feels impossible, especially from authority figures, because fear and self-doubt have been running the show. - Therapy in the past felt like explaining Queerness 101, impeding on your ability to make progress. It also means you’re ready to take the first steps towards… - Discovering you’re not broken, you’re human, and your experiences have names, explanations, and solutions. - Realizing you’re not alone. Countless people have struggled with the very same things, and most of them lead fulfilling lives. - Feeling worthy of taking up space and receiving help, even in spaces that used to feel intimidating. - An affirming therapeutic space where you are truly held and encouraged to be your full self by someone who has walked a similar path (I see you, aro/ace spectrum babes). - Integrating all parts of yourself, even the shadowy parts, into a new story where you are the main character, moving through life with confidence, clarity, and authentic self-expression. This is your invitation to come as you are, messy parts and all, and explore self-compassion, authenticity, and personal growth in a space that sees and values you. Every “should” you obey costs you the life you could have been making. Don’t wait to start reclaiming your time, energy, and peace! Your softer, freer life can begin today.

I support high-functioning, thoughtful adults who feel overwhelmed inside—especially introverts, highly sensitive people, or those navigating anxiety, depression, or life transitions. I offer a calm, non-judgmental space to slow down, understand what’s beneath the surface, and build clarity, resilience, and deeper self-trust.
I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a virtual practice in NY and GA. I offer psychotherapy for adults navigating life transitions and struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, and shame. I also specialize in helping people make peace with their bodies and heal their relationships with food and exercise. I see therapy as a deeply rewarding experience where you can cultivate self compassion, self acceptance, and flexibility. We'll create a safe space where you can process distressing feelings or challenges, grow in self understanding, build and practice new ways of coping, and move towards living a full life that's in line with your true values. My integrative approach as a therapist means I'll always be responsive to your reasons for being in therapy and what you want to find. I have an open, exploratory style, but I also won't hesitate to share more concrete resources or suggest practices to test out in between sessions if we decide together it might help.

What would it look for you to live a life that more closely aligns with your values and potential? Sometimes we find ourselves feeling stuck as we repeat the same self-defeating thoughts and behaviors. We try to cope with the stresses of life, but our coping mechanisms just don't seem to work anymore. Let's face it: life can be really hard at times. But with the help of others, we can take steps towards becoming the people we were created to be. As a therapist, I create a warm environment to help you achieve your goals. I work with adults and adolescents who struggle with addiction, depression, and anxiety, as well as those who are simply adjusting to challenging life circumstances and events (i.e., a global pandemic, the loss of a loved one, moving to a new city). In all of these cases, I believe that change and healing take place in the context of relationships with other people, and I would consider it a privilege to cultivate a therapeutic relationship with you as you take steps towards living into your values and potential.
I have more than 20 years experience working with patients with eating disorders or eating problems and accompanying issues such as anxiety. I will meet you where you are and we can work together toward healthier thoughts and behaviors that promote a sense of well-being. As an Emory alum, I truly enjoy working with Emory students.
