When you or someone you love has been through a horrible experience, your whole life can be turned upside down. As an extensively trained trauma therapist, I have the education, experience, and passion to help you heal. There are proven approaches we can use to help you heal from your past. My clients learn to deeply understand how past experiences have affected them, and to feel in control and at peace in the present. You don't have to figure this out by yourself. Sexual assault, sexual harassment, and related experiences often break us down and make us feel invisible. Call me at 720-340-6261 for a free consultation to learn how I can help you move from feeling broken or voiceless to feeling whole, empowered and fully alive. If you like, our work can involve my well-trained, registered professional therapy dog, Nova. Many people feel safer and more comfortable with a friendly dog present. Call me at 720-340-6261 for a free consultation or visit pegshippert.com to learn more about how we can work together.

A therapy session with me always starts with you. I want you to feel safe and comfortable as you share your situation. While making that first call to a therapist is difficult, most people feel great relief once they do. My main focus is Women in College, processing their challenges and moving toward who they want to become. My goal for you, is to help you find relief quickly. I work with people facing a variety of challenges, including: Anxiety, Life Transitions, Stress, Conflict, Trauma and Childhood Trauma. I offer support, encouragement, and guidance. Therapy is not about living a stress-free life, but rather learning how to navigate that stress with confidence and skill. The work we do is interactive, and I will encourage you to explore options, opportunities and choices. We will work together to help you create a sense of calm, self-assurance and stability as you navigate your life and the issues that have brought you in to meet with me. In my experience, clients I have done EMDR therapy with have had quicker, more effective and longer lasting results than traditional talk therapy. It takes courage to ask for help; you have already taken the first step. Life throws us situations we don't anticipate or have encountered before and we need help getting through. You are here because you or someone you care about is in pain. You have come to the right place. We have all had those times when we need someone besides family and friends to talk to. People come to me for a variety of reasons: anxiety and depression, adjusting to the college transition, relationship problems, family issues, emotional and social struggles, rebuilding self-esteem, teen difficulties, general life transitions, and personal growth. I have great success in helping individuals, couples and families overcome their difficulties and unresolved issues that are affecting their day-to-day lives. I assist people in gaining insight as to what issues may be causing them anguish and making changes that are within their control. I genuinely care for the well-being of my clients and work hard to find creative ways to help them achieve their goals and find peace in their lives. *Please feel free to call and ask for additional information about my practice or visit my website @ www.susancaso.com.

My clients are smart, self-aware people who've been managing a lot on their own for a long time — and they're tired. They want to stop overthinking everything, feel more solid in their relationships, and figure out who they actually are underneath the performance. A lot of them are queer, neurodivergent, or both, and they're done explaining the basics to their therapist. They want someone direct, who notices patterns, and who won't let them stay comfortable when they're ready for something different. I'm a clinical psychologist. I work with attachment, identity, and the ways people get stuck trying to hold it all together. My style is warm but direct — I'll give you real feedback, not just nod and reflect. We use what works, and go at the pace your nervous system can handle. If you want an authentic therapist who's honest with you, helps you build skills that work outside the room, and actually tracks whether things are getting better — reach out. We'll figure out what matters and go from there.

My Approach: Direct and Compassionate - I believe these are the two greatest traits I can bring into my work with others. While working with clients I strive to provide honest feedback that will help guide them forward towards recovery while offering compassion along the journey. I believe that the best route to change is a direct one that does not beat around the bush. The road to recovery of any form can be very difficult as life may be in a state of turmoil. I have found that offering a compassionate approach that fits an individual's needs is the best route to take. My specialities/areas of focus are: substance abuse, addiction and trauma. I am a Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I have additional trainings in Brainspotting and DBT. In my work as a counselor and my own life I have found that connection is of incredible importance. Inability or unwillingness to feel and express uncomfortable emotions can keep people disconnected. Through the process of recovery, lifestyle changes, and personal growth many people experience fear, anger, sadness, and many other emotions.

Feeling overwhelmed, behind, anxious, unsure, or like you’re constantly juggling too much? College can bring intense pressure to perform, stay productive, and have a plan—often while managing relationships, family expectations, finances, and questions about who you’re becoming. Even when things are going well academically or socially, many students carry a quiet sense of stress, self-doubt, or disconnection that’s hard to put into words. College is often referred to as the “best years of your life,” yet it’s also a time of major transition and identity formation. You may be making important decisions about your future while still figuring out what you value, what you want, and how to trust yourself. It’s common to feel stuck, anxious, or alone during this period—especially when it seems like everyone else is more confident or has things figured out. How We’ll Work Together I pay close attention to the tension many young adults feel between the part of them seeking stability and the part longing for meaning. It’s common to feel torn between wanting security—a solid job, steady relationships, a clear plan—and wanting a life that feels authentic, purposeful, and alive. In our work, we’ll explore this inner conflict with curiosity rather than judgment and find a way forward that integrates both of these core desires. Many young adults also carry a quiet sense of “I should be further along by now,” shaped by family expectations, social comparison, and cultural pressure. Together, we’ll slow down these narratives and build a relationship to yourself that’s based on honesty, compassion, and your actual needs—not someone else’s timeline. We’ll explore patterns in your relationships, clarify your values, likes, and dislikes, and build skills that help you move through the world with more confidence and ease. Therapy becomes a place to practice new ways of relating: setting boundaries, being more authentic, understanding your emotional patterns, and building healthier relationships. We’ll look at where your values, instincts, and longings are trying to guide you, and how to make choices that align with who you’re becoming.

Let’s be real. These have been dark times, and uncertainty still abounds. Old wounds may be coming to the surface, and the thought of facing them may feel downright terrifying……it is terrifying. Welcome! My name is Christie Morgan and I am a relational trauma therapist in Boulder, CO. I am passionate about helping couples and individuals experience personal and relational healing. Has your life been impacted by trauma and you feel like there is no one who can understand you? You may feel as if you are in survival mode and no longer know who the true you is. Or perhaps you feel alone in your relationship and wonder if you can ever restore the connection you once had. However you arrived here, you are welcome here. My goal is to create a safe space for you to heal as you experience feeling seen and known. I often begin with offering clients tools for navigating the difficult waters they are facing. Before entering into the deep healing work, I make sure that you feel stable and equipped to navigate the healing process. Together, we will rework the negative and shaming messages that hold you down and isolate you, so that you can love yourself amidst your imperfections and live life more fully. I empower my clients to discover wholeness through evidence-based modalities such as IFS (Internal Family Systems), Attachment theory, EFT (Emotion-Focused Therapy), and mind-body connection through a trauma informed lens. I believe that access to mental health should be a human right. We all deserve someone who can listen to us and help us navigate the difficult seasons of our lives. My goal is to be a safe person in my clients' lives. I am LGBTQ+ affirming and am passionate about creating safe spaces of belonging for clients in this community. A core part of my work as a therapist, who is passionate about social justice, is creating a kinder, safer, and more just world. This begins with people feeling safe and at home with themselves. My desire is that in fostering a safe space for clients to heal their trauma, they will become catalysts for healing as they, too, foster safe spaces within their families and communities. I am currently offering online and nature-based therapy sessions.
