Although college can be a time of excitement and exploration, it can also feel extreme and bring up feelings that can be challenging to sort out on our own. Having the right support can make all the difference. At In Bloom Psychotherapy we are here to support you on this journey exactly as you are, helping you find the tools and resources to provide some relief and a better understanding of yourself. Among other issues, we specialize in working with trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relational issues, depression, college athletes, and outdoor enthusiasts. We incorporate body awareness and mindfulness into sessions because talk therapy alone may not be enough to shift old patterns and create new neural pathways in the brain. Some of our clinicians are trained in EMDR therapy and utilize approaches such as parts work, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory. We know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and daunting. If something in this bio resonates with you, please reach out for a free twenty-minute phone consultation.

We are a collective of body- and mindfulness-based coaches and therapists. We offer body-based contemplative counseling, specifically focused on the nervous system; here-and-now awareness; and relationships to ourselves, others, and the natural world, to unwind old patterns from the bottom up, leading to more energy, empowerment, and intimacy. We each have our own specialties (such as PTSD treatment, imaginal work, couples therapy, etc.), yet we share a passion for helping you explore your inner world; integrate difficult experiences; and feel more healthy, whole, and nourished. Everyone needs support to deepen into our own experience, find regulation and groundedness, and open to showing up as more of ourselves in the world, with the strength and freedom to offer our gifts. We would love to accompany you on your journey!

If you're struggling, I want you to know it doesn't have to be so hard, and you don't have to go it alone. Together we can begin to understand and cope with emotions and situations which can seem overwhelming. Relationships can create such powerful movement in our lives, and offer real hope. I share a profound respect for your choice to begin therapy, and will provide a non-judgmental space to express yourself. Anxiety, loss, transition -- often these struggles give us opportunity to grow and deepen our knowledge of ourselves.

Hi I am a believer that life is workable. Hard? Yes. Challenging? For sure. Therapy offers a place to be heard, to learn skills and develop a deep sense of self trust and belief in one's ability to make a full and fulfilling life. Adults love to say college is the "best time of your life" but that adage misses how deeply challenging this time in life actually feels: making friends, finding your career, leaving home, fitting in - - to say nothing of academic challenges. Therapy can help make the transition to a new school, the development of an independant self as well as navigating how to work with and understand friendships, relationships and drugs and alcohol.

As a Stanford trained psychologist, I combine insight-oriented with skill-based therapy approaches to help young adults and adults with anxiety, depression, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms find their way back to a fulfilling life. Do you feel sad and down for no apparent reason? Do you feel all alone and as though nobody understands you or sees your pain? Do you tend to overthink things? Do uncertainties of life scare you or do you feel like you need to control your environment to feel safe. You are not alone. Through my ability to read between the lines, I can see you and help you better understand yourself. We will work through subconscious challenges that interfere with your joy in life, growth, and path to healing. I also specialize in working with individuals and their family who struggle with the diagnosis of cancer or other medical conditions. I will help you find ways to cope with fear, loss and uncertainty related to your condition and make sense of your situation productively. Let's work together to help you thrive with your disease. PSYCHOLOGICAL ASSESSMENT: In addition to therapy, I provide a variety of psychological assessment services, including mental health evaluations for adults in legal proceedings (civil and criminal); psychodiagnostic evaluations to inform treatment and clarify diagnostics; and neurocognitive assessments. As a therapist, I offer insight-oriented therapy, which includes deep self-reflection, exploration of your hopes and goals, and artistic exploration. My practice focuses on attachment work, which helps people to strengthen their connection with their truth and authenticity. Being true to ourselves leads to greater self-worth, intuition, empathy, and better relationships. We can more confidently pursue our passions and purpose, and be more clear on our next steps in life. Young adults often see me to address the transition to college or graduation from college. Others are dealing with difficult family dynamics, including situations where their identities or life choices are not accepted or respected by family members. Some are seeking guidance as they develop their professional identity and consider their life trajectory. Others are healing from trauma, including sexual assault or abuse. The tools I draw on when working with young adults include talk therapy and EMDR—and I also find mediums like sand tray and art therapy to be useful. I offer sessions in-office or nature-based. At Whole Connection we take Medicaid and work on a sliding scale. We provide high quality, accessible psychotherapy to Boulder County. Our team is made up of skilled therapists who provide individual, group, and family psychotherapy. In addition to outpatient therapy we offer a Trauma Recovery and Care program. Our Trauma Recovery and Care program is designed for individuals who are struggling to take control of their lives because they feel dictated by feelings that are deeply connected to their past. If you have been diagnosed with PTSD or you suspect that PTSD is underlying your current symptoms, this could be for you. We believe that all people should have access to Therapy, by clinicians and interns who are continually trained and educated and who are also taken care of (not overworked). In doing so we try and meet the needs of those of the community who come to see us by either sliding our fees or accepting medicaid insurance. Lastly we aim to provide free and affordable trainings for the larger community and clinicians to continue to learn and grow. We also take Victim's Compensation.

Relationships (with ourselves or others) are where our deepest hurts and greatest joys live. It is brave to seek support when things feel messy or overwhelming. You don't have to be perfect to lead, love, or live well—you just need to feel steady and supported. With more than 17 years of experience as a contemplative psychotherapist, I support adults and couples in navigating anxiety, transitions (identities, life, and family), relationship and systemic challenges, and a variety of mental health issues. My practice is rooted in the present moment and Buddhist psychology, which means we start from the belief that you already possess an innate wisdom and basic goodness that needs the opportunity to be uncovered. I offer an unconditional presence and a place to explore this freely. If that resonates, I'd love to connect and see if we're a good fit. My Approach to Care I specialize in social power dynamics and Contemplative Psychotherapy, integrating training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and other therapeutic modalities, offering a systemic lens that honors your whole identity while helping you navigate internal and external conflicts. Whether repairing trust after betrayal, navigating neurodivergence, exploring the complexities of life and identity transitions, or reclaiming your voice within complex systems, I provide the tools needed for deep healing and self-awareness. While I serve adults with any identity, I especially welcome neurodivergent, trans, queer, people with criminal histories, and polyamorous folks who need a therapist who offers a nonjudgmental and experienced perspective. My passion is supporting others in their human journeys toward power-consciousness and right-relationship with themselves, others, and the larger world around us. This includes navigating conflict, befriending our shadows, and learning more about what is most meaningful to us. Working together, you can expect an open and attentive environment where I prioritize your dignity and sense of belonging. My style is both spacious and direct, and I tailor my approach to your unique needs, orientation, and preferences. A Journey into Exceptional Patient Care When I finally found what gave me the strength & flexibility to hold the distress, it was through my relationship with what I call my rooted self and with those who helped me to cultivate my own personal power, time in the natural world, and what was most meaningful to me (not to someone else or dominant culture). I've come to see that the most powerful healing often happens when we uncover our own inner wisdom with those who hold it with respect & care. I've lived in places across the globe, learning different languages, cultures, and ways of being, always moving in search of answers to the distress and disconnection I felt within and around me. Along the way, I studied books, sought spiritual or mystical experiences, and meditated. I was told to turn toward the distress, discomfort, or dissonance, but it felt overwhelming without the right support or understanding. Most of modernity's structures do not support the connection, space, and care required for such human work. When I finally found what gave me the strength and flexibility to hold the distress, it was through my relationship with what I call my rooted self and with those who helped me cultivate my own personal power, time in the natural world, and what was most meaningful to me (not to someone else or the dominant culture). I've come to see that the most powerful healing often happens when we uncover our own inner wisdom with those who hold it with respect and care. I am a mother to three (two girls and one nonbinary kiddo) and partner to one fabulous trans human. Alongside my family, I enjoy time alone, being in nature, and doing creative things. I love to read, write, and research (even though I'm a recovering academic). While I don't have time anymore for things like Latin dance or martial arts, I try to move as much as I can, mostly through intentional or integrated movement for my hypermobile body, and by taking walks.
