In Bloom Psychotherapy
Hi, I’m Brooke (she/her/hers), and I know finding the right therapist can feel overwhelming and daunting. Establishing the right therapeutic relationship is essential, so if something in my bio resonates with you, please reach out for a free twenty-minute phone consultation.
My approach is unique: I offer in-person sessions, virtual sessions, and wilderness immersions. While I work with a wide variety of clients, my background as a wilderness therapy guide lends itself well to working with outdoor professionals and enthusiasts.
Among other issues, I specialize in working with adults, adolescents, college students, and couples experiencing trauma, PTSD, anxiety, grief, relational issues, and depression. As a trauma therapist, I adopt a collaborative and compassionate style that is also directive, aiming to help create sustainable change.
I incorporate body awareness and mindfulness into sessions because talk therapy alone may not be enough to shift old patterns and create new neural pathways in the brain. I am trained in EMDR therapy and utilize approaches such as parts work, IFS, DBT, CBT, mindfulness and attachment theory.
I welcome my clients with empathy, understanding, and compassion, as I strive to meet each person exactly where they are. I believe in supporting my clients AND challenging them, so they can feel real sustained change. College can create a lot of discomfort and bring up feelings that can be challenging to sort out on our own. I am here to support you on this journey exactly as you are, helping you find the tools and resources to provide some relief and a better understanding of yourself.
