"Finding that there is more to life, beyond food and fear" . . . is the heart of my therapeutic philosophy. Most of my clients live in fear around how much food they eat . . . or do not eat. Their relationship with food has devolved into one of pain and hiding versus pleasure and health. I use a Gestalt approach which gives voice to a person’s two conflicting parts: the part wanting to hold onto the old, comfortable eating patterns and their "benefits", and the part yearning to let go for permanent growth and healing. Clients ultimately can reach a place where they discover choice, freedom and a healthy relationship with food. What I offer, that is different, is a no-frills, direct approach . . backed with over 20 years of extensive counseling practice and hands-on experience working with a wide continuum of mental health and addictions issues. My approach works for many clients as I truly believe that effective counseling deals with "unfinished business" and patterns from our past, which play out in our lives today. Once identified and challenged, clients can then find "choice" and make the key changes that will truly sustain into the future. Most people who contact me are already aware that they are doing their best AND that something is not working and needs to change. Are you up for a change? Please note, I do not accept insurance through my private practice but you can find me on the Sondermind platform to potentially use your insurance.

College can be an exciting time, but it can also feel overwhelming. Between classes, relationships, friendships, family expectations, work, and figuring out who you are, it's easy to feel like you're supposed to have everything figured out when you're still trying to find your footing. I'm Grace, and I'm a therapist who works with young adults navigating anxiety, self-doubt, life transitions, relationship challenges, trauma, identity, and the pressure to "have it all together". My approach is warm, collaborative, and judgement-free. Therapy isn't about telling you what you SHOULD do. It's a space where you can slow down, make sense of what you're experiencing, and build a life that actually feels like yours. Whether you're struggling to manage the demands of college, feeling disconnected from yourself, navigating a difficult relationship, or simply feel like something is "off", you don't have to figure it out alone. We can work together to understand what's underneath the stress, strengthen your relationship with yourself, and help you feel more confident moving forward. I offer a free 15 minute consultation to see if we are a good fit. Feel free to email me to set one up. I can't wait to meet you!

If anxiety, intrusive thoughts, OCD, phobias or depressive thoughts take up too much space in your life, I will work with you to uncover their sources. You can establish and engage in useful coping skills that will allow you to spend less time battling your thoughts and more time living the life you want. If you're a couple struggling with relationship concerns, I will work with you to restore harmony in your relationship and strengthen your connection. I aim to provide a safe, warm and non-judgmental environment for my clients to explore their emotions, while also feeling comfortable and validated when sharing experiences, thoughts and behaviors. I practice using evidence-based modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Radically Open Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (RO-DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), as well as self-compassion and mindfulness techniques. Gottman Method Couples Therapy informs my work with couples. If you choose therapy as a next step, I would be honored to work with you and support you in your journey of self-growth and healing! I specialize in trauma therapy, with extensive experience supporting survivors of sexual violence and other traumatic experiences. If you’ve been through something overwhelming, it can feel like a fog has settled over you, affecting every part of your life. You might find yourself overthinking, being on edge, shutting down, or feeling numb, even when you want to feel present and connected. Many people I work with feel stuck in this space and are unsure how to move forward. Together, we’ll work to understand and process your emotions, thoughts, and past experiences so they no longer hold the same power over you. I use EMDR and other approaches to help you address what’s at the core of your symptoms. Feeling safe and understood is essential to this work. We’ll move at a pace that’s manageable for you, creating a space where you can show up as you are without pressure or judgment. While this is a vulnerable process, it’s also what allows for deep, lasting healing. Therapy can help you relate to yourself with more clarity and compassion, develop new patterns, and move toward the life you want to live. If you’re ready to feel more grounded, connected, and fully yourself—and to feel more in control of your life—I invite you to reach out. We’ll start with a conversation and see if working together feels like a good fit.

Hello! My passion is working with people interested in personal growth and I strive to collaborate with my clients in exploring unconscious and procedurally-based patterns that occur in relationship with self and others. I have served as a therapist to young adults and adults in the front range area for 10 years. Before opening my practice, I worked in community mental health and at CU Boulder's Counseling and Psychiatric Services Center. I work primarily from a contemporary psychodynamic lens and utilize a wide range of techniques including Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, narrative therapy, interpersonal/relational therapy, Self psychology, and Motivational Interviewing. I am also trained in MDMA-Assisted Psychotherapy through MAPS and am a published qualitative researcher on the MDMA-AT FDA trials. I am a cisgender woman currently residing on the stolen homelands of the Arapaho and Cheyenne, colonially known as Colorado. I identify as haafu and Japanese-American and I unjustly benefit from my East Asian heritage and proximity to whiteness, as someone who is able-bodied, and with financial and educational access. My sun and moon are in Cancer. I am passionate about matters of identity, race, culture, and social justice.

I'm a Somatic Therapist in Longmont, CO, working with tech professionals and multicultural clients, in person and virtually across the state. I spent years as a computer programmer before becoming a therapist and know "always on" work culture from the inside. I also immigrated to the U.S. from Japan as a child. My sessions work with the body directly, through sensation, breath, and movement, alongside talk therapy. I'm also Board-Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and draw on years of Aikido and improvisational theater in my work. My clients include BIPOC, immigrant, and diaspora students balancing multiple cultures, students managing a health or medical diagnosis alongside school, and people early in a tech-track career already burned out.

I spent much of my adult life working in Emergency Medicine as a Paramedic before going to the Physician Assistant program at Loma Linda University in Southern California. After graduating from there in 2018, I spent the past five years working in addiction medicine in a residential treatment program in Boulder, Colorado. Working in addiction medicine, I commonly assisted adult patients, of all ages, dealing with anxiety, depression, cravings, withdrawal symptoms and sleep challenges. Patients would often come to me wanting to reduce their amount of medications to just what was helpful and necessary and I would take a lot of pride in helping them achieve that goal. Genetic testing provides a helpful tool to initially choose, change or adjust a dose of a particular medication. I believe that it is important to meet an individual where they are in the healing process and to address the whole person rather than just the presenting problem or symptom. To address the “whole person” requires getting a detailed history and a partnership between patient and provider. Establishing such a partnership gives me great joy.
