Supporting all phases of life in a culturally sensitive manner
I have been working as a therapist for 16 years and specialize in depression, anxiety and relationship issues. I enjoy working with all ages as well as with individuals, couples and families. You are valuable and you deserve to be supported. I am committed to meeting you where you are at, and helping you get to where you want to go. I find joy in offering support as you work toward healing and restoration. It is important for you to know your value and to believe you can grow. I focus on helping you realize that you are worthy and deserve to reach your full potential. It is an honor to come along side you as you work hard to reach your goals.
College can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming at times. I help students navigate stress, anxiety, relationships, and life transitions in a supportive, judgment-free space. We’ll work together to build coping skills and find strategies that fit your unique needs. Whether you’re adjusting to campus life, managing academic pressure, or looking for someone to talk things through with, I’m here to support you.
Navigating the complex landscape of life can be daunting, but you don't have to do it alone. As a first-generation LatinX graduate and proud member of the LGBTQ+ community, I have a unique openness and approach to my clients challenges and experiences. My specialized training equips me to work with adults, children, parents, and families, addressing their unique needs with empathy and expertise. I have a passion for supporting those navigating grief, depression, anxiety, self discovery and identity development. In my practice, I blend evidence-based techniques with a compassionate approach, creating a safe and nurturing environment. Whether you’re facing life’s big transitions or seeking to address longstanding challenges, my goal is to help you find the strength within to overcome obstacles and thrive.
I welcome clients wishing to work on a variety of life's challenges. I specialize in anxiety, panic, stress, self-esteem, depression, and school/work/life balance. I offer a complimentary phone consult, where we can learn more about each other, answer any questions and decide if it feels like a good fit. I've spent the last several years specializing in the college transition, college students, and challenges faced after graduation, as young professionals under unique work/life stressors in Silicon Valley. I believe in working together as a team to create treatment approaches that work best for each unique person. With a calm, genuine and approachable nature, I offer an experience/environment where clients feel safe, supported and encouraged on their path of growth and self-discovery. If this is your first time seeking therapy, I encourage openness, hopefulness and understanding around nervousness and apprehension. I believe in the inherent strengths of the individual. Utilizing a strength-based approach encourages each individual to discover their own special qualities and build upon them, to overcome challenges and create their best self. I feel honored to hear your story. You will find a warm and non-judgmental, human and authentic presence in my work. I also enjoy mentoring and supervising associates, helping other therapists grow and improving experiences within the counseling and psychotherapy field.
Is it time to empower yourself by prioritizing your wellness? If you're struggling through stress, trauma, anxiety, conflict, grief, or other challenges, you don't have to push through it alone. No one is meant to walk through distress in isolation, cut off from meaningful support. Healing is accelerated in connection with others. Imagine a safe, non-judgmental space where you can break through difficulties in the company of a skilled facilitator. Navigate your healing journey and cultivate greater peace of mind with professional guidance and support. I offer holistic, integrative counseling in San Luis Obispo, or by telehealth.

We believe therapy is a transformative process incorporating different layers of ourselves and our environment. We center Liberation Psychology in helping people empower themselves and dismantle the effects of colonization within and as a collective. We see the person as a whole with mind, body, soul, and spirit. We use a trauma-informed approach that shifts the focus from what's wrong with you? to what happened to you?. Being culturally humble means that you are the expert of your own life, we are equals in the therapy room, and we continuously assess and address our own biases. At Colibri Healing Therapy we are 2SLGBTQIA+ Affirmative. The universe will recycle the same experience in different forms until one is able to transcend and elevate to a higher level of self-awareness and alignment.

Painful feeling such as anxiety or sadness and/or the disconnect from loved ones can feel overwhelming. It is difficult to find joy in life when we are struggling with one of these challenges. Therapy can be a place to consider new ways to work towards your goals, to find new sources of joy, and to reduce the experience of pain. I am a licensed clinical psychologist, specializing in the delivery of time-limited, evidence-based therapies to help you experience relief from feeling of anxiety and sadness and/or to increase closeness in your romantic relationship. In order to achieve your goals we will draw on cognitive-behavioral and emotionally-focused therapy strategies. I want you to know that there is reason to be hopeful, even when it is hard to find that hope on your own. Together we can identify a road map for working towards your goals, taking one step down the road at a time. If you are interested in connecting, please do not hesitate to reach out via email or telephone.
As an observer of human behavior and relationship, I see the sticky interconnectedness of self, other, and systems that often imprisons us in behaviors, thoughts, and reactions that can feel unchangeable. I believe people often do the best they can to face the challenges of life, yet in doing so, some of what we discover works at first, fails us long-term. And it’s here that we often feel trapped—between doing what we know to do and knowing what we’re doing is no longer working. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help you find freedom in areas that seem unchangeable, freedom in living into your best self, and freedom in healthy relationship. It’s a journey, but a worthy one, and one that you don’t need to travel alone.
Welcome! After my work on multiple college campuses, I have welcomed college students into my private practice. I work with all levels of students and programs. Being a student brings dynamic changes and stressors, I can help. Stress, family dynamics, extra curricular activities, roommates, and relationships are just a few areas I help students navigate at this unique time. Booking online is often a feature students appreciate as it is quick and easy. My practice is paperless and HIPPA compliant. We all experience different struggles at one time or another throughout our life. The transition into or out of college is often filled with a lot of uncertainty and stress. This can be with coursework, friendships, roommates, exploring sexuality and independence. Therapy is a way to assist you in embracing your current situation and moving through, rather than getting stuck or spiraling backward. Life can be complex and challenging, it can require extra support to help move through the struggles we may be experiencing. In our first few sessions I will learn more about your current situation and discuss treatment options I feel you may benefit form and what has worked for you in the past. We will work together from there to develop a plan that you are comfortable with and work together to reach your goals. Taking the first step to reach out and ask for help is often the biggest hurdle. Feel free to reach out for a free 15 minute consultation to see if therapy with me is right for you!

Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, depressed or stuck, I recognize the impact it can have on your relationships, goals, self-esteem and how you feel in your mind and body. If you find yourself affected by difficult events, grief, and trauma from your past, I understand how it can interfere with daily life making it difficult to focus mentally, relax physically, and enjoy the things you once loved. You do not have to go through this alone. I am committed to providing compassionate support and guidance as we work together to find clarity, joy and reclaim ease in your mind, body and spirit. Change is possible. Healing is possible. My specialty is working with those who are suffering emotionally & overwhelmed with their past and present. I work with individuals wanting to break out of co-dependency, self-sabotaging, and trauma which can show up as chronic emotional/physical pain and leave you feeling stuck and confused. You don't have to figure this out on your own. The focus of our work will be to understand the cause of your suffering and how it is affecting your mind and body in the present. This allows us to create new ways of thinking and feeling which lead to less suffering. As an MFT and SEP my approach is somatic and insight oriented to support you in finding relief and creating the life you want.
