When we are facing life stressors, we often focus on addressing the immediate symptoms. This can be very adaptive. However, if we only ever focus on the immediate symptoms of our struggles, then we may never recognize or have the possibility of healing the cause of our pain. I believe that therapy provides a powerful space to explore, understand, and ultimately heal the root causes of our struggles. I approach my work with insight from a variety of therapeutic frameworks, including Narrative Therapy, IFS, Solution Focused Therapy, & Attachment Theory. I am also formally trained in EMDR which I can incorporate into therapy. I approach therapy with an anti-oppressive lens to assist clients dealing with the impacts of homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, and misogyny and am versed in supporting individuals with a wide range of challenges, including PTSD, depression, anxiety, ADHD, Autism, Bipolar, and chronic pain. I come to my work not merely as an outsider with expertise, but as a neurodivergent and transgender individual myself who has lived experience navigating many of the issues I work to help others heal from. It has been my privilege to help a wide variety of clients, and I look forward to learning how I can help you too!
We are who we are for a lot of reasons, maybe we will never know most of them. But even if we can't choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. -Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower This quote has always resonated with me as a clinician; there are many aspects of our lives, our stories, our families, and our circumstances that we may not have chosen and may not be able to change. However, there ARE many ways of processing these very important aspects of who we are. Therapy is a wonderful and fulfilling way to do just that. I'm glad you're here. I currently maintain an all-virtual private practice and provide therapy to both individuals and couples. I am comfortable with a variety of presenting concerns and have a specialty focus of relational/couples therapy. I have completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, an evidenced-based approach to couples therapy. I'd love to chat with you to learn about what's bringing you to seek therapy and to see if we'd be a good fit. Together, we will create a non-judgemental therapeutic environment with warmth, safety, support, and a sprinkle of humor. My practice is culturally- and trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming and I have been seeing clients for over 7 years.
I am a human being learning, like you, how to be here. In a world that can feel overwhelming, I offer space to slow down, understand what you are carrying, and find ways to cope that feel aligned, rooted in care, intention, and honesty. My approach to therapy is collaborative and grounded in curiosity. I support clients in exploring how their experiences shape how they feel, relate, and move through the world.
Hi! Thank you for stopping by. If you are in the middle of big life transitions—figuring out who you are, what you want, and how you relate to the people around you- we might be a good fit. College can bring up questions about identity, relationships, and belonging, along with the stress of academics and life changes. Some students feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of themselves, while others want support navigating dating, friendships, family expectations, or exploring different parts of their identity. The students who tend to connect most with my practice are open to reflecting on their experiences, building self-understanding, and developing healthier, more authentic ways of relating to themselves and others. I love to bring in mindfulness and somatic practices into the therapeutic process and so if this sounds like you- definitely reach out! I also do accept some insurances and so feel free to email me with any questions. I cant wait to hear from you!

I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology and hold credentials as both a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and National Certified Counselor (NCC). I have been in the field a little over 10 years and have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns; including depression, anxiety, identity formation, crisis management, addiction, and life transitions. My counseling style is very person-first and engaging. I believe in incorporating different therapeutic techniques in order to meet you exactly where you are during each interaction. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, dialectical-behavioral, person-centered, and solution-focused techniques. My goal is to have you feel comfortable and help guide you to develop healthy skills that encourage empowerment and self-discovery. Outside of my career, I am an animal lover that enjoys traveling. I enjoy being physically active and believe the best gifts are those you can experience! I am a fan of all Italian food and find comfort relaxing while watching a good movie or reading a thrilling book. I strongly advocate the concept of self-care and overall life balance. I understand how vulnerable and overwhelming it can feel to seek counseling and I appreciate the courage my clients display by doing so. I hope to support and provide encouragement as we begin this process together. I believe that every individual has the ability to overcome struggles and learn how to highlight their strengths that they may not even be aware they have! I look forward to working with you! Hi, I'm Jennifer. I help my clients feel like themselves again after trauma, specifically sexual trauma or relationship violence. You’ve tried to get past it, forget about it, told yourself it “wasn’t a big deal”, but you’re in pain. Maybe you notice feeling scared and mistrusting of others, having mood swings, or feeling down about yourself. Trauma can take many different forms, so often we don’t realize what we’ve gone through until we unpack it with someone safe. I can be that person for you.
I believe that having an objective person listen to your story opens the door for validation, reflection, and change. I believe my job as a counselor is to listen, notice patterns, and help you reach the goals you set for yourself. I use an eclectic blend of modalities to center the people I work with in their own narratives, and help them move forward in ways that benefit them the most. I also have a lot of experience working with athletes, as I was a coach for 10 years before becoming a counselor. Please visit my website to see more about my coaching experience and work with athletes on performance and wellness. I enjoy being a generalized clinician, as I focus a lot on validation, control, and purpose in my practice. I find this can help each person, no matter what they are facing, to find a more positive path forward.
I am a licensed clinical social worker with extensive experience on staff in college counseling centers and in private practice. I work to form a trusting relationship with students so that they have a safe space to work through the challenges they are facing. As a member of the LGBTQ community, I am especially focused on providing inclusive, affirming care for students whose identities may not be represented or supported as well as they could be in the available campus resources - whether that be by virtue of sexuality and gender, or other facets of life experience. If you are feeling stuck academically or socially, struggling with mood or anxiety, trying to figure out who you are and your place at school and at home - I am here to help you find your way through it.
