I offer individual therapy on issues including anxiety, depression, identity exploration, self-esteem, relationships, and life transitions. I am also proficient in Spanish. My practice provides a non-judgmental, compassionate environment where you will be not just listened to, but truly heard. I approach therapy through feminist, strength-based, client-centered, and relational frameworks to empower you on your path forward. At its core, this means that nothing happens in a vacuum, our lives are impacted by our history, environments, systems of oppression, relationships, and our own identities. My goal is to create a collaborative space where you can connect more fully with yourself and gain the insight and tools to overcome challenges and live your most authentic, fulfilling life.

I was both the traditional and non-traditional student in my college career that struggled with balancing it all; work, social life, trying to be healthy, get good grades and discovery myself. I wish I knew then what I know now and that is, you may not need to balance but distribute, prioritize, and compartmentalize! We are not just a "talk therapy" practice, we believe in providing tools and skills to get through the life YOU want effectively. Let us help you discover your journey that aligns with your wants, desires, needs, and values.
Art Therapy is for everyone! I am comfortable working with individuals from diverse cultures, beliefs and existences, and feel that being accepting, objective, respectful, and genuine are characteristics essential in a therapist; I strive to bring an inclusive and multicultural spirit to my work. Art Therapy provides an excellent catalyst for the expression of thoughts and feelings, and helps to find hidden meanings in your life; as your therapist I am here to assist with making sense of images and finding ways to manage feelings and issues. My inclination is to invite a spirit of fierce self-acceptance and self-compassion; to help change the negative, anxious, narrative to one of gentleness, forgiving, and yes, even loving.

Hi, I’m Liz! I’m a Licensed therapist (LCSW) and Certified Clinical Sports Social Worker - and founder of MENTL.SESH. I help people accomplish their goals, reconnect with their sense of self, boost confidence, and improve mental fitness by meeting them where they are at in their mental health journeys. Working with athletes, high performers and creatives to manage anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and challenging life situations are my areas of specialty. Therapy should feel fulfilling and the last thing I want for my clients is for therapy to feel like a chore. I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation for working toward and achieving therapeutic goals, so I encourage you to feel all the feels, speak your mind, and be yourself in sessions. Therapy with me is a collaborative process and I want any clients who work with me to feel that they are heard and supported. Throughout the therapy process, we will explore both the highs and lows, whether that be through identifying thought patterns, behavioral patterns, current and past experiences, or self-care and coping skills. I'm a firm believer that healing is not linear and acknowledging the good is equally important to living your best life. I aim to have a down-to-earth, strengths-based & integrative approach and will most definitely throw in a few sports and pop culture references, thinking outside of the box, and use humor when appropriate. I received my Master’s in Social Work degree from NYU and have advanced training in, Sports Social Work interventions, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as Trauma Focused -Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, trauma-informed practice, Functional Family therapy, and more.

[ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS FOR WEDNESDAYS, SATURDAYS, AND SUNDAYS] [NOTE: I cannot accent clients who attend the University of Pittsburgh due to a conflict of interest] My mission is to join with others in pursuit of healing, empowerment, and liberation. Those who work with me are often exploring issues of gender, sexuality, and race; privilege, marginalization, and systemic oppression; complex trauma; and relationships. We often focus on alleviating the anxiety, depression, and disconnection from self and others that can come with these experiences. Together, we work towards building self-understanding so you can make decisions about your life and relationships with awareness and intention. I am a queer, agender, social justice-focused and relationally-oriented therapist. Central to my approach is curiosity about the cultural systems and personal relationships that shape your experience. I also have experience integrating tarot, ritual, and dream work as therapeutic tools. I am happy to incorporate your personal healing practices into our work. The relationship we build is our greatest tool for healing. I approach therapy as a collaborator, and work with clients to create a relationship characterized by trust, safety, authenticity, vulnerability, and warmth, humility, and genuine care. We can dream up what healing looks like and strive towards it together.

I offer a client centered approach to care, valuing honesty, compassion, and accountability. I believe that that the client/therapist relationship should be one that is based on mutual trust & respect, open & honest communication, and ability to work collaboratively on treatment goals. If you are thinking about taking that brave next step, I would love to meet you, and it would be an honor to embark on that journey with you! I offer a remote treatment experience for those that would prefer to remain in the comfort of their own home. You can expect our first session to be a laid-back conversation, where you can share with me only what you feel comfortable as we build trust. If you wish to continue, we will set some goals together and work on a plan that meets your needs. Whether you are struggling with social pressures, academia stress, the adjustment to college life, substance abuse, depression, anxiety, or just feeling overwhelmed-- I am here to offer support and empowerment along the way.
