Hello! I'm so happy you stopped by! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. I have 13 years of experience in the mental health field and I have also recently completed doctoral training in clinical psychology. I specialize in psychodynamic therapy and have a great deal of experience in working with people with eating disorders, anxiety, depression, relationship problems and concerns and personality concerns/disorders. I provide a non-judgmental and safe space for clients to open up about their struggles and painful experiences. I follow the client's lead as we work together to build an understanding of what is fueling their current difficulties. As we work together, client's develop a complex understanding of their lives and what has led to their current struggles. This opens up the possibility for new emotional and relationship experiences. My focus is on helping clients achieve long term and lasting change. Clients can expect to feel heard and accepted. With an environment of warmth, humor and curiosity, clients feel open to discuss their painful experiences and to open up emotionally in a way that they may not feel able to in most spaces in their lives. For nearly 20 years, I have worked with adolescents and young adults who have anxiety, mood disorders, gender identity issues, family conflicts and trauma from many different backgrounds. There is no single case that is identical to another, and everyone has their own unique story. I want to hear your story so that I may join your journey to heal. My main approaches are CBT, Family Systems Theory, EMDR, and somatic approaches. I also incorporate Eastern philosophy and focus on the mind-body connection to assist clients in understanding their challenges and rediscovering their authentic selves. As a person who came to the United States as a teen, I personally understand the pressure to succeed, the challenges to navigate the US college system, and the loneliness that limited resources and guidance that first generation college students go through. I have also advocated for people of color and the LGTBQ+ population in an effort to improve equality and deal with human rights issues many years. I strive to provide a safe environment for all of my clients without judgment. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

I work best with students who are motivated and thoughtful, but feel stuck—whether that’s struggling to focus, feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, or wondering if ADHD, a learning difference, or anxiety might be part of the picture. I offer neuropsychological evaluations to help students understand how their brain works—clarifying strengths, challenges, and what may be getting in the way of learning or performance. These evaluations are often helpful for students seeking answers, clarity, or documentation for academic supports. I also provide CBT-based therapy, which focuses on practical tools to manage anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and unhelpful thinking patterns. Therapy is active and collaborative, and we work toward concrete changes that make daily life and school feel more manageable. If you’re looking for clearer answers about yourself and support that’s structured, practical, and grounded, I may be a good fit.
Hey, I’m Laura Fidorowicz. I work with college students who are used to holding it all together—but underneath are dealing with anxiety, burnout, depression, or using substances more than they’d like to cope. A lot of the people I work with are high-achieving and hard on themselves. You might look like you’ve got everything handled, but inside it feels like constant pressure, overthinking, or never quite feeling “good enough.” Maybe you’ve started relying on alcohol or other substances to take the edge off, check out, or just get through the week. My style is real, collaborative, and practical. I’m not here to judge you or lecture you—and I’m definitely not just going to sit quietly while you talk. We’ll actually dig into what’s going on and build tools you can use in real life, whether that’s managing anxiety, breaking perfectionism cycles, or changing your relationship with substances. You don’t have to wait until things fall apart to get support. If something feels off, that’s enough. If you’re ready for a space where you can be honest, feel understood, and start making real changes, I’d love to work with you.
You are important and your thoughts and feelings matter! Therapy is your time to take care of yourself. It is the opportunity to explore, problem solve and sort out your thoughts and feelings in a safe and supportive way. With over 25 years of clinical experience, I have successfully worked with clients of all ages and struggles. I partner with you to help you identify and understand your patterns of thoughts, feelings and behaviors that are contributing to your emotions and struggles such as depression, anxiety, frustration, and feeling overwhelmed and/or stuck. We then explore, analyze, and select solutions that work best for you. My therapy approach is based primarily in cognitive behavioral therapy with a solution focused perspective. I partner with you to help you gain an understanding of the reasons why you are struggling and develop an action plan to help you overcome and achieve your goals and potential. Therapy is an active and engaging process. I provide a supportive and accepting environment for you to express yourself fully. An environment that allows you to feel safe to explore, learn, and develop solutions and skills needed so you can overcome your struggles and reach your goals. I look forward to partnering with you on your journey of self-care.

I am currently scheduling patients for both in-person (PA/NJ) and telehealth (PA/NJ/MA) appointments. I welcome patients who are looking for medication management, therapy, a second opinion, or any combination of the above. My interests include diagnostic clarification of mood/anxiety/attention disorders, evaluation of young adults who may be seeking help for the first time, and treatment of substance use disorders that often present with other common diagnoses. I offer comprehensive treatment, taking into consideration not only whether a patient has a medical illness, but also discussing lifestyle, substance use, relationships and other factors that could be affecting an individual's mental health. When indicated, I may recommend the use of psychiatric medications in conjunction with therapy.
I offer a collaborative and supportive space where you can explore your experiences with openness and honesty. Whether you are suffering from depression, anxiety, or you want a change of perspective in your life, I aim to make you feel understood. My style is warm, grounded, and attuned. Together, we will work toward greater clarity, emotional balance, and meaningful change.
