I am a licensed professional counselor and have been in practice for over 10 years. I want to acknowledge how uncomfortable or scary it can be to reach out for help and engage in therapy. My goal is to make therapy welcoming and approachable. I am experienced working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, substance use as well as other concerns. I also work with couples. Often, we feel stuck. Stuck in our relationships, our jobs and with ourselves. I believe therapy can help us become unstuck and free us from patterns that are causing pain and distress. Please feel free to reach out to me, we can chat and decide if working together feels like a good fit.
I work with individuals, couples, and families experiencing a range of challenges that include relationship distress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, financial conflict, and/or coping with the disease of addiction in a significant relationship or family system. We all come from diverse backgrounds and experiences that impact how we see and move through the world. I am interested in understanding the context of your life in our work together. Life offers challenges to all of us. These challenges can be in relationships, life transitions, or in circumstances that feel thrust upon us. I am confident you have within you what it takes to face and move through hard times in your life. I will help you develop new skills to be successful in accepting all of what life has to offer.

If your life had a resumé, “chameleon” would be at the top. You’re so good at figuring out others’ needs, they’d never suspect that you have them too. If you were honest with yourself, though, you’d admit how stressful it is to live for other people. You’re terrified you’ll lose relationships if you speak up or say no. Your energy is drained or you feel resentful. You’re exhausted from wondering if others like you or approve of you. If you make choices that disappoint others, you feel guilty and selfish. Your whole identity is about pleasing others, & you want to feel comfortable being your authentic self, but you have no idea how. If this sounds like you, I’ve got you! We’ll shift your story so you'll see your sensitivity to others as a strength. You’ll be a boundaries badass who feels confident with your decisions. You’ll take your perfectionism head on and feel able to live in the present. And you’ll have action steps that feel good, because they’re finally in line with YOUR goals. I specialize in treating Highly Sensitive People and recovering perfectionists & people-pleasers. Hi, I’m Dr. Udo Chukwuocha, a doctoral-prepared psychiatric and family nurse practitioner who offers a supportive and holistic approach to mental health. I work well with college students who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, unmotivated, emotionally stuck, or experiencing sleep and focus issues. Many of my clients are adjusting to big life transitions, juggling school and personal pressures, or trying to make sense of their emotions and habits. I especially enjoy supporting students from BIPOC and immigrant communities, as well as women navigating mood changes related to hormones. If you’ve had negative experiences with mental health care before or felt misunderstood, I strive to create a space that feels inclusive, collaborative, and respectful of your unique background. My approach blends medication management with lifestyle coaching, brief supportive therapy, and integrative tools like supplements and lab testing when helpful. If you're looking for care that looks at the bigger picture—not just symptoms—I’d be glad to support you.
Those that come to my practice are often looking a safe space to open up and discuss what is bothering them. My main objective is to provide a safe relationship that is open, non-judgmental, and genuinely empathetic. I believe that these are the ingredients for creating a secure bond through which deep exploration can occur. Through the practice of talk-therapy one can develop self-awareness, understand their behaviors, resolve traumas, and begin to change unwanted patterns. Together we will identify coping skills and valued actions to move you in the direction of a valued life, while also reframing painful thoughts or beliefs that are getting in your way.
You have the weight of the world on your shoulders, and have for a very long time. As a child, you had to grow up quickly and take on adult roles, because you had a parent who wasn’t always able to be fully present. Overwhelming emotional pain weighs on you. And you’ve found that the emotional pain shows up as physical pain too - a literal heartache, muscle aches, or back pain. You’ve also lost your appetite or find yourself eating more than usual. You went through something horrific. And you thought you had dealt with it, you thought you could handle it on your own, but it keeps popping its pesky little head up in your current life and relationships. Speaking of which, you have a history of unsuccessful relationships. You long for closeness and intimacy - being validated, loved, and understood - but you can’t seem to avoid toxic people and/or sabotaging the good relationships because when there’s love and harmony you’re waiting for the other shoe to drop. Sometimes as a result of the way you’ve been treated, you question your own worth and value. You worry that your life will never be the same. The fear gnaws at you sometimes that maybe you will never get out from under this boulder of responsibility and heartache on your shoulders. You worry you will never be free. Like my clients, you deserve to find your footing, and discover healing and meaning in life again. Making a full recovery is not out of reach. If you want to not just move on, but move forward, I’d love to help you get there.

Hi! I’m a bilingual Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) licensed in Oregon and Idaho with 19 years of experience supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds and life experiences. I enjoy working with college students navigating stress, anxiety, identity, relationships, burnout, life transitions, and self-esteem challenges. My approach is compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental, with the goal of helping you feel supported while building practical tools for everyday life. Reaching out for support can feel intimidating, and I strive to create a space where you can feel comfortable being yourself.
Hello! In my practice, I work with female identifying clients ages 18-60 either on line or in person in Corvallis, Oregon. People struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship issues learn skills to bring joy back into their lives. I offer an attentive ear, a validating heart and a safe space to unpack all your woes and move through your pain. I hope you will give yourself the gift of therapy and I look forward to meeting you!
I work with individuals and relationships from a systemic, decolonial, and anti-oppressive lens. This means that when working with you, I will take into account all the micro and macro systems around you that are affecting you on your day to day, and making you feel like there is something wrong with you. I work with individuals who experience stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma due to problems with their family of origin, major life changes and transitions, relationship issues, work stressors, and the state of the world. I like to pay close attention to how our current social and political climate is also affecting you at a personal level and at a communal level. I do my best work with people who are ready to… - look closely at the stories they've been carrying and gently question which ones no longer serve them, - discover and honor their own needs—not just those of others, - sort through the values they've inherited from family, culture, or society to uncover the ones that truly belong to them, - align values, thoughts, and actions in ways that create deeper integrity and wholeness, and practice setting healthy boundaries and asking for their needs to be met with clarity and self-respect. I may not be the right fit for you if… - you are seeking couples therapy for infidelity or relational violence, - you are unwilling or not yet ready to look at your own patterns or make changes, - you want quick fixes without engaging in the deeper inner work, - or you are looking for therapy that does not center justice, culture, or liberation.
