I enjoy working with students who need support in adjusting to all the changes that school inherently comes with leaving home, performance anxiety, finding your people, dating, friends, study habits, getting ready to graduate and finding your next move etc. And through all of this, sometimes there is anxiety, depression, or trauma that makes all of the adjustments more difficult. Therapy can help you sort through all of that so that you have a clear mind and feel more at ease in life. Reach out to me today to schedule a free 15 minute consult to see if we are a match, it's important that you feel a connection with your therapist. Feel free to e-mail me at katieobrienlicsw@gmail.com to get things started. Visit my website or my psychology today profile for more information as well.

In my practice I take a strength-based approach to help you learn and grow. I am interested in exploring who you are as an individual and helping you get where you want to be. Together I hope to build a respectful and collaborative therapeutic alliance. I have experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. I specialize with working with young adults dealing with life transitions. I have experience working in the university and hospital setting. I have an interest in working with young adults, college students, and adults. I use both CBT and DBT in my practice. My colleagues would describe me to have a calming presence and open mind. Dr. Kitty Wong is a psychiatric physician based in Medway, MA, who has over twenty years of experience helping individuals and families with complex mental health needs. She earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, and remained there to complete her adult psychiatry residency. She completed her fellowship in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Harvard affiliated Massachusetts General Hospital/McLean Hospital program in 2005 and served as a Clinical Instructor at the Harvard Medical School after graduation for several years. Dr. Wong is the founder of Moxie Psychiatric Services and has held leadership roles as a child psychiatrist consultant and medical director at various organizations. She has extensive experience working with issues such as post-traumatic stress disorder, child abuse and neglect, special education and the residential-educational system, ADHD, mood disorders, OCD, complex psychopharmacology and deprescribing. Dr. Wong's initial consultation appointments typically take anywhere from 90 min up to 2 hours ($1500) depending on how complex a person's history and current needs are. Follow up appointments are usually about 25min ($300). Longer appointments lasting 40 min are $450, and complex appointments that last up to 60 min are $600. Dr. Wong welcomes students who are on the fence and have questions about psychiatric medication as well as those who are open and ready to get started. Students who are seeking treatment impacted by substance abuse will not find her to be a good fit for their needs as this is not an area of expertise.

Individual Telehealth appointments only! I received my master’s degree from Lesley University in Mental Health Counseling specializing in Music Therapy in 2018. I enjoy my clinical work and value the courage it takes to engage in therapy. I am an outgoing, personable individual, and provide a creative, safe, and welcoming environment for my clients to meet the challenges in life in order to live their best lives. My clients are always eager to do the work in therapy, of course at varying degrees. Therapy is for those who want it and not necessarily those who "need" it. Frankly, I think everyone would benefit from being in therapy, but it would not be successful without any investment on their end. If one is not interested or motivated to change, then the tools and techniques I provide will not be able to help you. I can understand when it is difficult to complete tasks or follow up on recommendations that I will suggest, however, once you start the work you will see a difference. My clients often come to me feeling stuck, unsure of themselves, lacking confidence, and struggling to function in their everyday lives. If you are looking to learn more about yourself and how past and/or current issues are impacting you then I am your person! I am currently working at Fitzgerald Counseling Group and you can reach out to them via their website, phone number, or email, and request you are interested in working with me!

College is such an important time. You’re learning and growing in classes, and you’re also figuring out who you want to be in the world. Being away from home, navigating friendships and relationships, and making decisions about your future can be exciting, but they can also feel lonely, confusing, or overwhelming. If you’re feeling unsure of yourself or of your path, you’re not alone. I love working with college students and offer a warm, supportive space where you can talk things through, make sense of what you’re feeling, and learn to advocate for what you need. We’ll work together to help you feel more grounded, confident, and at home in your life. I look forward to hearing your story and supporting you as you build the life you want.

Hello, I am an emotionally focused therapist interested in helping people improve their view of self and other, and to get more joy out of their relationships. I have a particular interest in working with couples and healing childhood trauma. Between the ages of 18-22, many people enter a pivotal period of independence and self-exploration. It is often a time when young adults begin to reflect on their childhood and family relationships with greater depth, clarity, and emotional awareness. How these relationships are processed can have lifelong impact. I can help support this reflective process so that it leads to healing, growth, and a stronger sense of self.

Are you experiencing stress in your relationships and you want to build healthier ones? Maybe you find saying “no” to be impossible, you don’t feel heard by others, or you have a difficult time managing your emotions on top of typical college stressors. Perhaps past relationships, trauma, or negative experiences have impacted you. It can be so frustrating and isolating to focus on healing in order to build a better future. You don’t have to be alone in it. It is natural for people to get stuck throughout life, especially during transitions (and college is a big one!). I am here to help you adapt and reconnect with yourself. You want to reconnect with the version of you know have seemingly disconnected from. Reconnecting with things YOU enjoy and learning to put yourself first. Through building coping skills and in a safe and compassionate therapy space, together, we will work to build the best version of you. I find it important to be myself in therapy, whether this means swearing when appropriate, using humor, and connecting with my clients. If you would like to learn more about therapy with me, please reach out! I'd love to get to know you.
