You’re doing your best to keep it all together, work, relationships, family, responsibilities, but lately, it’s catching up with you. You’re tired of running on empty, trying to be “fine” when you’re really just overwhelmed, anxious, or disconnected from yourself. You might be craving more balance, confidence, or just a sense of peace in your day-to-day life. You want to set boundaries without guilt, stop overthinking every decision, and feel like you again. If that sounds like you, you’re in the right place. My practice is a space where you can drop the mask and just be real. No pressure, no judgment, just honest, grounded conversations that help you make sense of what’s going on and find a way forward. I’ll bring warmth, practical tools, and a sense of humor when it helps, because therapy doesn’t have to be heavy to be healing. You don’t have to have it all figured out; you just have to show up as you are. I’ll meet you there.

It has always been my take on life that we must find joy and satisfaction in what we do and who we are. I have been working as a mental health professional since 2006 and I find joy in the work that I do each and every day. I prioritize creating a healthy balance between the work that I love, my self-care, and time with my family. I value the opportunity I have to help people find their way and find balance in their lives, whether this is through closure with the past or building new skills to cope with current life challenges. I knew when I was a teenager that this is the work that I wanted to do. I have always felt drawn towards helping people. I received my undergraduate degree from Flagler College in Florida and earned my Graduate degree from Assumption College here in MA. Right out of school, I worked for South Bay Mental Health doing in-home therapy. Once I became licensed I moved into an office setting and I worked at Arbour Counseling for about 8 years. After which I started graduating into private practice. A few colleagues and I came together to create Grove Counseling Services in Worcester, MA. Until COVID-19 presented, we were thriving. I now work out of Millbury, MA and continue to do what I love.

Codi Haigney

In addition to a B.A. in Feminist and Gender Studies from Colorado College, Codi holds a Masters of Social Work from Smith College School for Social Work. They come to APP with previous experience in access to higher education, direct service with incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people, and community mental health. Their work is informed by a critical lens that helps clients examine systems and institutions of power and the roles those structure play in our suffering and healing. They are interested in creating a practice that can center the acknowledgment and influence of race, and other identities, in relationship. They hope to hold space for clients to explore, create and recreate themselves.

Melissa Slegona, LICSW
Hi there! I provide psychotherapy services virtually to folks in NY, MA and RI via a secure, user-friendly and HIPAA compliant telehealth platform. I see many clients who struggle with anxiety (with or without panic), stress-management, relationship concerns, life-stage stressors, identity, and self-worth/self-esteem issues. College is often described as "some of the best years of your life" ....by well-intentioned people who likely have not experienced life as a higher-ed student in the 21st century. Many of my college-aged clients come to therapy seeking some grounding and perspective; here are some common struggles I see: - feeling life has become too unbalanced - prioritizing the multitude of academic, personal and family obligations they face - realizing that who they were even a year ago feels dramatically different than who they are this year - noticing what used to feel like a clear direction in life is starting to shift under their feet, leading to heightened disorientation, worry and insecurities Therapy can help you to explore and identify what's truly important to you so that you can reconfigure and re-prioritize your life in a way that brings greater peace of mind and gives you a sense of real balance as you navigate your world and future career path. Feel free to reach out and we'll see if this can be a good fit for your needs! Melissa

With over 25 years of experience as a community-based social worker—and the last 7 years in private practice—I’ve developed a deep capacity for listening, supporting, and, most importantly, healing. My approach is designed to help people navigate anxiety that often arises from life’s unexpected challenges, whether big or small. I’m certified in EMDR and incorporate a range of complementary therapeutic methods tailored to each individual. If you find yourself struggling with issues that others—or even you—might dismiss as minor, it may be time to strengthen your skills and move beyond survival into a life where you can truly thrive.
Savannah Davis
Many people I work with describe their struggles with self-doubt, persistent worries, irrational fears, and "overthinking" tendencies, saying that they second-guess themselves and struggle to quiet their anxious thoughts. Often, these struggles are a result of past traumatic events that have shaped how the brain perceives the world. Other times, these struggles may trace back to unhelpful messaging from outside sources, which can result in learned behaviors, patterns, and ways of thinking that promote anxiety, worry, and shame. I use modalities such as EMDR, psychodynamic therapy, and CBT to support clients with these struggles. Therapy can support us to uncover and understand the impacts that traumas and other past events have on how we navigate the world. This awareness, coupled with therapeutic interventions, can support us to heal from past hardships and make changes to the learned survival techniques that are no longer serving us. Those who work with me describe me as compassionate, accepting, and interactive in my approach, and I strive to create a comfortable and judgment-free environment for my clients. I offer online scheduling, specialized, evidence-based approaches, and brief, no-cost phone consultations. I encourage you to reach out to see if working together may be a good fit!
