I am a Ph.D. level licensed psychologist with special interest and training in working with college and graduate students. I have received training at several university counseling centers including Butler University, Miami University of Ohio, and Indiana University-Bloomington. I also worked at the IU Counseling Center with students before starting my own private practice first in Bloomington IN, then in Louisville, KY. Additionally, I have taught courses at the undergraduate and graduate level. I have helped clients struggling with a wide range of issues, including depression, anxiety, OCD, and panic disorder. I have special interest in diversity and cultural issues, including those affecting international and first generation college students. Additionally I have experience in treating trauma, grief, life transitions, performance anxiety, minor disordered eating, and family/relationship concerns. The foundation of my counseling approach is in a compassionate and understanding therapeutic relationship. Furthermore, I integrate the art and science of psychological treatment, and tailor treatment specifically to you. I consider your needs, strengths, and values, and collaborate with you so that you may reach your goals. My strength-based approach incorporates elements from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, experiential, and mindfulness perspectives.
