An individual's need to live a happy and balanced life throughout the lifespan is always the goal. When something happens that is difficult to understand or resolve, a good therapist can assist you in navigating your way through the experience. I have approximately twenty years of experience doing just this. It is important to find the perfect fit for this journey and hopefully I can be that for you.
Anjuli Maharaj Shah is welcoming new patients for video appointments. As a holistic provider, she integrates non-pharmacologic approaches in addition to medication in her psychiatric treatment. She has a particular interest in nutritional psychiatry. In addition, Dr. Shah has had focused training in various therapeutic modalities, including psychodynamic psychotherapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. Hello! My name is Rachael Trimbur and I am here with you on your treatment journey however that may look. I take a very trauma-informed and strengths-based approach. I am trained in EMDR and have been using this approach for two years. I am a licensed clinical addictions counselor and a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years of experience working in the dual diagnosis field. I began my career working with substance use disorders and have a lot of experience in this area. I am also a qualified Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) and complete substance abuse evaluations. My experience includes working for community mental health centers, doing crisis work, working in an employee assisted treatment program, and program development for a substance use and medication-assisted treatment facility. I am always looking to expand my knowledge and stay up to date on evidenced-based treatment approaches. I understand that one size does not fit all and pull from various modalities to help those I work with meet their goals. The most important thing I have learned over the years is to learn from those I work with. I take a very person-centered approach. As Stephen Covey wrote, “Seek first to understand, then to be understood.”

Hello! One of the hardest things is feeling like we have hurt or disappointed those closest to us. It’s a struggle every day to keep relationships and even friendships going smoothly. We often disappoint ourselves, and life hasn’t always been what we hoped it would be. Maybe things look good on the surface but inside we feel like everyone else has it figured out while we barely keep it together. It doesn’t have to feel like this, and I can help you feel better through therapy. While in therapy with us you will definitely laugh, you might cry, and you will see changes in your life that you’ve wanted for a long time. Good therapy can help us feel less like a failure and find more success in life. Changing the way we think can change the way we feel and dealing with trauma can help it feel less awful. Therapy can help us be a better partner, friend, or parent. Whether you’re reading this for yourself, for your family, or as a couple we can help you make things better. You'll feel safe and connected while you process the past so life becomes easier and more enjoyable. Our therapists can help you learn skills that will help you feel better about yourself and have better interactions with other people.
It takes a lot of strength and bravery to reach out for help. My approach is relationship-centered, as I believe healing and change take place when we feel connected to others. I truly admire the courage clients have in sharing their story and being vulnerable with me. Using a holistic and strengths-based approach, my hope is that clients feel connected, heard, valued, and worthy. It's an honor for me to witness a client's authentic voice, to see their dedication to making changes, and to witness them thrive. I'd love to support you. Coming alongside clients in collaboration, I believe a flexible approach that best fits the individual's needs is most effective. I have extensive experience in helping those with trauma find healing. I also work with young adults who may be feeling overwhelmed, stressed, anxious, depressed, those coping with a life transition, or who are coping with grief and loss. I'd love to meet you and offer support.
