If you're looking for a therapist who brings authenticity, warmth, and a feminist sensibility to their work, I might be the person to help! I typically work with clients who find themselves at complex intersections of identity, especially around sexuality, gender and culture. I love working with students—previously at SJSU CAPS and currently at a private group practice. Many of my clients are AAPI children of immigrants, and/or queer and trans people of color, navigating questions about family and relationships. I can offer an affirming space work through intergenerational trauma and feelings of cultural guilt or shame. I am also able to support clients with common concerns like anxiety, depression, stress management & more. As a therapist I am interested understanding your life story as you tell it, and I'm here to help you figure out the next chapter. My goal is to help you feel greater clarity, freedom & control as the author of your story. I incorporate practical tools into my work, so that you develop new skills to deal with painful feelings and thoughts. What inspires me to work in mental health is the possibility of supporting another person or family through a difficult phase of their life. I have experience in trauma focused care, anxiety, depression, and parenting across all ages. I hope to use this experience to assist my clients in improving their quality of life. As a provider, I come from a place of non-judgement, curiosity, and view my client as the expert of their own life. Therefore, I ask clarifying questions to make sure I understand what they are saying, validate, and respect where they are coming from. I value transparency, consistency, and authenticity and I bring that to session each time. I respect the fact that trust is valuable and I allow time for my clients to feel comfortable with me.
I see adults, adolescents, and couples experiencing high levels of stress, interpersonal conflict, difficult family dynamics, and chronic pain or illness. In treatment, I attune to the ways culture, attachment, and trauma influence a person's life. I often work with people who feel "different" and who have experienced deep feelings of otherness. I aim to create a safe space that invites curiosity and creativity, where talking about emotionally-painful topics doesn't feel so unbearable. If you'd like to explore the possibility of working together, please contact me to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.

During challenging times, people often feel defeated and focus on what is wrong. I want to shift the focus from what is "not working" to identifying what is "working." We will work to uncover patterns (behavioral, thought beliefs, relationship), that will lead you to making better decisions. I want to offer a safe place to process thoughts and feelings around issues that can be challenging. I am interested in helping people who experience stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss and challenges with relationships (social or romantic). Many conversations are around “adulting” and how to manage life, career, relationships, etc. I teach clients how negative thought patterns/language effect mood and behavior. Narrative and Solution Focused therapy assists in shifting from self-defeating language/thoughts to a positive life narrative. I utilize CBT and teach the basics of how thoughts effect behavior/mood. I teach ACT concepts- to learn how our emotions and thoughts are related. I teach mindfulness to help with coping.
Sometimes Life Feels Harder Than It Should You may be feeling overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure of what comes next as you navigate life’s challenges, relationships, family, work, or all of your responsibilities. Life may look fine from the outside, so no one really knows how much you’re struggling. But internally, you sometimes wonder if you’ll ever figure it all out, achieve the things you want for yourself, or get to a place where you genuinely feel happy and fulfilled. Perhaps you keep finding yourself in the same relationship patterns, struggling to communicate how you truly feel, questioning your decisions, or being hard on yourself. Maybe thoughts or experiences from the past still come up and keep you awake at night. Or all of your stressors and responsibilities play on repeat in your mind. You try to push past them and move forward, but somehow they keep resurfacing. Whatever you’re navigating, you don’t have to have everything figured out before you begin therapy. Sometimes you just need a space to slow down, understand what you’re feeling, and have someone help you navigate what comes next. At Inward Healing Therapy, we recognize that who you are and what you’ve experienced cannot be separated from the culture, family, relationships, and communities that have shaped you. Our therapists provide culturally affirming care that honors the identities, values, traditions, and lived experiences that are important to you. Rather than making assumptions about what healing or growth should look like, we work to understand what those things mean for you. Depending on what brings you to therapy, our work may include: - Understanding and managing anxiety, stress, and overwhelming emotions - Building confidence, self-esteem, and a stronger sense of self - Understanding anxious attachment and changing relationship patterns that leave you feeling insecure, stuck, or disconnected - Exploring how family, culture, and emotionally immature or unavailable parents may have shaped the way you see yourself and your relationships - Healing childhood and attachment wounds, trauma, PTSD, and painful relationship experiences - Recovering from narcissistic abuse and rebuilding trust in yourself - Strengthening communication, connection, and emotional security within couples - Developing practical tools to navigate life’s challenges with greater confidence Our therapists draw from evidence-based and trauma-informed modalities including Internal Family Systems (IFS), Psychodynamic Therapy, CBT, DBT, ACT, Inner Child Work, attachment-based, multicultural, and relational approaches, tailoring therapy to your needs, experiences, and goals.

Hi, I’m Veronica. I believe that life feels best when we prioritize taking care of ourselves. I specialize in supporting women struggling with anxiety, low self-esteem, or high sensitivity to embrace their whole self with compassion and acceptance by using a therapy approach that is supportive, informative, and sometimes even a little fun. Are you a high achiever who feels disconnected from who you truly are? Do you find yourself struggling with anxiety, depression, or a deep sense of overwhelm, despite your outward success? Perhaps you’ve been shaped by high expectations, either from your family, culture, or society, and now feel torn between the person you’re supposed to be and the person you really are. I specialize in working with clients like you—ambitious, driven individuals, often children of immigrants, who are navigating the pressure to succeed while grappling with the internal conflict of identity. You may be feeling stuck between honoring your heritage and culture, and carving out a path that feels authentic to you. This can be an exhausting, confusing, and painful process—but it doesn’t have to be done alone. In our work together, I aim to create a warm, compassionate space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, without judgment or pressure. Together, we can begin to untangle the stories that have shaped you, heal from trauma, and work toward developing a more integrated sense of self—one that aligns with your true values and desires, rather than others' expectations.

Trauma therapy techniques including EMDR can help bring relief. If you are thinking about your career path and seeking more fulfillment and balance in life, I can help with that too. We can explore your values and identify actions aligned with your goals.
