As a queer-identifying clinician, I bring a compassionate, affirming, and inclusive approach to therapy, honoring the diverse identities and lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community and beyond. I am deeply committed to building genuine rapport and trust, creating a therapeutic space where clients feel fully seen, supported, and valued in their authentic selves. My practice is grounded in LGBTQ+ and neurodiversity-affirming principles, informed by my B.A. in Women’s Studies and its emphasis on social justice, intersectionality, and feminist frameworks. My graduate training in Depth Psychology has enriched my understanding of the unconscious forces that shape our inner and relational worlds. From a psychodynamic perspective, I work collaboratively with clients to explore the patterns, motivations, and early trauma that influences their emotional lives and relationships. In addition to psychodynamic work, I integrate Family Systems theory and Internal Family Systems (IFS) modalities, approaches that support clients in navigating internal conflicts and relational dynamics with clarity, compassion, and self-leadership. My skills in attunement, active listening, and culturally competent, curious counseling allow me to adapt to each client’s unique needs and strengths. Whether you are seeking support for LGBTQ+ and/or neurodivergent identity exploration, relationship concerns, trauma healing, or personal growth, I strive to offer a therapeutic relationship rooted in empathy, curiosity, and collaboration; one that fosters healing, resilience, and empowerment. If you’re curious about working together, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation. It’s a chance for us to connect and see if we’re a good fit.

As an observer of human behavior and relationship, I see the sticky interconnectedness of self, other, and systems that often imprisons us in behaviors, thoughts, and reactions that can feel unchangeable. I believe people often do the best they can to face the challenges of life, yet in doing so, some of what we discover works at first, fails us long-term. And it’s here that we often feel trapped—between doing what we know to do and knowing what we’re doing is no longer working. That’s where I come in. I’m here to help you find freedom in areas that seem unchangeable, freedom in living into your best self, and freedom in healthy relationship. It’s a journey, but a worthy one, and one that you don’t need to travel alone.

I view therapy as a collaboration where therapist and client work together to connect with an inner healing intelligence and unconditional positive regard within each of us. We can then tend to trauma, grief, resentments, and limiting beliefs that are contributing to symptoms. With humility and reverence for the resilience, courage and vulnerability it can take to heal ourselves, I create a nonjudgemental, kind and compassionate space with room for humor, absurdity and fun. I integrate healing modalities from various wisdom traditions that awaken our physiological and emotional connective systems in collaboration with the natural world. This process can help clear historic trauma and family of origin wounding that is reinforced by a mass cultural amnesia. I draw from evidence-based client-centered modalities including Transpersonal Psychology, Ecopsychology, Internal Family Systems, Gestalt, Family Systems and Somatic approaches to healing.

Anaheim, CA

I’m Urim Audrey Lee, LCSW, a licensed therapist with about 9 years of experience supporting adults who feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in old relational patterns. I completed my undergraduate degree at UCLA and my graduate training at USC. My work focuses on helping clients build emotional steadiness, self-trust, and healthier relationship dynamics. I specialize in anxiety, people-pleasing patterns, attachment wounds, self-worth challenges, life transitions, and culturally complex stressors. My style is warm, collaborative, and deeply grounding. I blend evidence-based approaches such as CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and nervous system regulation with practical tools you can use in daily life. In our early sessions, we clarify what feels stuck, identify the patterns underneath, and begin building skills that create meaningful change. I offer therapy from a Christian perspective for those who desire faith-integrated care. I am currently accepting new clients. Insurance accepted: Aetna, Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey, and Quest Behavioral Health. Please use my website to book a consultation.

Do you worry about being judged by others? Have you opened up to someone, only have your feelings minimized or dismissed entirely? You may have even started holding back parts of yourself in order to feel accepted. If any of this sounds familiar, you're not alone. As someone with both professional and lived experience, I understand how important it is to feel like someone truly gets you. Looking for a therapist can feel frightening and overwhelming. This is especially true if you are one of those individuals who have it all put together, yet often worry about what others may think. Do you struggle with feelings of loneliness, fear, guilt, shame, anger, difficulties trusting others and difficulties feeling joy. Therapy is a transformational process and I certainly understand being anxious or even fearful of change. Through my personal experience in psychotherapy and work with clients, I have witnessed the healing and change the therapeutic process offers. My approach is warm and welcoming. I strive to establish a peaceful and safe environment. I truly believe beauty and healing are often a result of allowing light shine to our darkest places. With the right space and support, you can achieve the things you want to achieve as well as heal from past hurts. I hold the same belief when completing psychological evaluations for Immigration. I also offer the opportunity of telehealth- video conference sessions in order to expand my ability to offer safe therapeutic support. Looking forward to hearing from you and being part of your journey

Many times people are taught to "suck it up", and often people compare their lives to others and think "it could be worse." However these lessons and these thoughts do not often result in feeling better. Often I work with people who put on a mask that they feel they are not allowed to take down in front of others. We work together to realize that strategies that have taken you this far, tend to stop working at some point. I do not give advice, because at the end of the day, you are in charge of where you want to go and what steps you want to take. But what I can promise, is that I'm willing to walk along side you, you can test the water out and if it does not feel safe you do not have to go in, but if it's something that you want to slowly explore, we can create a space together to do so. Asking for help is a strength, although it is not always told to us. You've made it this far! Feel free to send me an email or give me a call and you can share what has been going on and we can see if you want me to join you on your walk.

25 years as a clinical social worker has taught me that finding the right therapist is like trying on a pair of shoes. It has to be the right fit for you to start the journey of self-exploration. I believe in a strength based approach, where we not only explore the issues that brought you to therapy, but we explore how to expand the things that bring you joy and happiness. As Dr. Seuss once said, “life is a great balancing act” and he could not have been more right. My practice focuses on individual therapy for adolescents, and adults. My areas of expertise include depression, mood disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, ADHD, Trauma, and transitional issues of work, relationships, etc. Client’s describe me as genuine and authentic, supportive, strength based, straight forward, and always keeping hope alive. Give me a call today for a free consultation and see if I am the right fit for your journey of self-exploration.

Many of the people I work with are Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) who are struggling to navigate multiple areas of their life like work, school, family, relationships, or the intersectionalities of their identities. Many talk about often feeling overwhelmed, stressed, or stuck. This then kicks off to what feels like a never ending cycle of confusion, frustration, depression, and anxiety. Therapy is an opportunity to find clarity and work through these obstacles to help people get their life back on track. My clients and I work together to develop more mindful behaviors to help lead a more meaningful and healthy life. People develop certain attitudes and perspectives based on their early life experiences to survive when they were younger. But these attitudes and perspectives are not helping now which is part of the reason why people might feel stuck. By looking at these attitudes and perspectives closely, people can learn to change how they talk to themselves, how they react to their emotions. and take more thoughtful actions to move forward towards a more authentic and fulfilling life. My practice integrates several evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis (CBTp), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) that encompasses principles of person-centered, recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, multiculturalism, and strength-based values. With my compassionate, collaborative, non-judgmental, and down-to-earth style, therapy can address the things that are getting in the way of people’s life so that they can move forward. COMMON EXPERIENCES THAT I WORK WITH PEOPLE ON: - It feels like your mind is playing tricks on you - It feels like your eyes or ears are playing tricks on you - It feels like something odd is going on or hard to explain - Confused at times whether something is real or imaginary - You feel suspicious or mistrustful of others - It feels like you have little control over your thoughts - It feels like others can hear your thoughts or read your mind - Having thoughts or beliefs that you or others find strange - Race-related identity, culture, and intersectionality - Cultural and systemic trauma and oppression

I am also passionate about supporting the unique needs of the LGBTQIA community. I completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited internship at UC Davis Medical Center where I achieved certifications in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and psychosis assessment (Structured Interview for Psychosis Symptoms). I have been trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I offer consultation services for outside providers, parents, teachers, etc. who want to learn more about complex mental health issues such as emerging psychosis, mood disorders, suicidality and other high-risk behaviors. I strive to integrate authenticity, warmth, cultural humility and a strengths-based approach to my clients’ values and individual treatment goals. One of my primary goals in treatment is to create a space where my clients can feel safe to express themselves while also being challenged to grow and learn new skills. My clinical work often involves collaboration with family members, psychiatrists, school psychologists, teachers, social workers, and medical doctors, which allows me to incorporate different perspectives and make holistic recommendations beyond individual therapy. I collaborate with my clients to incorporate their personal views with my areas of expertise to address their goals. I use humor, music, and other creative methods in treatment. I am passionate about helping adolescents and young adults learn new skills and perspectives to navigate life’s challenges. I believe that no matter the diagnosis or symptoms, all people can create a life worth living and accomplish their goals with adequate support and care!
