Zaida Liranzo
I am a licensed therapist with a twenty-four year experience working with adult individuals with a vast of life challenges to assist them in developing adaptive coping mechanisms and strategies to deal with their individual challenges. I am compassionate and truly enjoy what I do. I will be honored to form a working alliance with you and be able to allow you to be who you are in a nonjudgmental manner that fosters a sense of quality of life and overall well-being.
My style or approach to therapy is what I call a “pot” as I borrow from various evidenced-based models, theories and interventions to create a unique working plan for everyone I work with. I do, however, draw heavily from the Strength Perspective, Client Center, Motivational Interviewing, Psycho- dynamic, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavior Therapy to name a few.
I expect my clients to take away from sessions with me is an enhanced knowledge of their strengths and meaningful ways to address their challenges. We will work together always respecting their autonomy and uniqueness as a person. In addition, I expect my clients to highlight their sense of self-worth, self-value, self-respect as a pathway to improve better outcomes from therapy.
