Hello! I’m excited to introduce myself as a licensed social worker with a Master of Social Work from Columbia University. I currently provide online therapy to adults across NY, FL, and MA. My main goal is to help you express your true self without fear of judgment. I use warmth, flexibility, and a touch of humor to support your healing journey.
I care deeply about making mental health care accessible, especially for marginalized communities like queer and trans individuals in the Asian diaspora. It saddens me to see many people suffer in silence due to cultural stigma, family issues, and systemic barriers. My mission is to offer therapeutic support and advocate for those whose voices need to be heard. I find purpose in ensuring that high-quality care reaches those who need it most.
I connect with first-generation immigrants, LGBTQ+ clients, and anyone dealing with difficult mental health challenges. I am here to meet you where you are and help you as you begin the journey of rewriting your story.
I specialize in trauma care, especially understanding how trauma from previous generations affects our lives. Together, we can identify patterns, coping styles, and family rules that may have been handed down. We will understand how these experiences affect your current life, whether it’s in your relationships or daily struggles. I aim to create a safe space for healing without blaming the past.
I support adults facing childhood trauma, attachment issues, and relationship challenges, whether they are romantic, platonic, or familial. My experience includes working with clients who have borderline personality disorder (BPD), bipolar disorder, major depression, and treatment-resistant depression.
In my practice, I use a client-centered, culturally affirming, and solution-focused approach. I believe you are more than just your symptoms; you are a whole people shaped by your culture and life experiences. My goal is to create a healing space that respects every part of your identity. We will work together to identify your strengths and create practical steps forward. Since therapy should feel unique for each person, I use different methods to personalize our sessions.
I base my work on mindfulness and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and I also have training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and internal family systems (IFS). I use IFS to explore relationship patterns and combine it with mindfulness techniques for emotional regulation.
Outside of therapy, I love spending time with my affectionate cat, who brings me joy. Snuggling with him is my favorite way to reset. Music is another passion; I enjoy singing and playing my guitar, finding peace in the melodies. Recently, I set a personal goal to read more books, and I’m excited to explore new stories and ideas.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me! I look forward to starting this journey together.
