Hi, I’m Will Zarillo (he/him)—a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, trauma specialist, and proud Rutgers alum. I’m passionate about helping college students navigate the complex transitions, pressures, and possibilities that come with campus life. Whether you're processing trauma, managing anxiety, dealing with academic stress, or looking for more purpose and direction, I’m here to help.
I work collaboratively and flexibly—drawing from approaches like CBT, EMDR, and Solution-Focused Therapy, while staying grounded in a narrative worldview. I believe in the power of storytelling to heal, empower, and reframe how we see ourselves and the world.
Since 2017, I’ve worked directly with college students across diverse communities—including survivors of violence, men, creatives, and student-athletes. I have professional experience within university settings, including developing campus-wide trauma-informed programs and teaching an accredited course at Rutgers titled: Trauma-Informed Approaches for Higher Education Professionals.
Currently, I’m completing my doctorate in education, researching Cycles of Institutional Betrayal: Student Activism Against Sexual Violence at Rutgers (1970–2000)—a project that reflects my commitment to equity, healing, and justice in higher education.
