I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions. My office is conveniently located on Newbury St.
College is a time of transition, where we learn not only about academics, but about who we are and how to navigate the myriad challenges of life. It is both exciting and stressful, fun and scary. And when we struggle with added anxiety, depression, traumas, relationship difficulties, and more it can make the whole experience feel overwhelming.
I specialize in helping college/university students to cope with these challenges so they can thrive in work, school, and everyday life.
I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, where I majored in Psychology and developed my interest in helping others. I went on to receive a Masters of Science degree in Counseling Psychology from Northeastern University in Boston and then worked there for 6 years before starting my practice.
I incorporate elements of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, mindfulness, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy into my practice. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and have seen dramatic results from its use, helping clients to overcome longstanding problems much more rapidly than with other therapeutic techniques.
I can provide you with paperwork for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
I will complete and submit paperwork on your behalf for reimbursement from your insurance company if you are seeking out-of-network sessions.
