William Jenkins

I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with eight years of experience in person-centered and narrative-based therapy, working with youth through adulthood, with a particular focus on teens and young adults. Together, we'll navigate a confusing world so you can build greater self-understanding.

I believe our past holds the key to our present behaviors, and that key can open the door to changing our future ones. The issues we struggle with aren't always the root cause, though; my goal is to help you identify what's truly underlying them, so we can get to the heart of what's going on.

When you work with me, you'll find I'm a nerd who enjoys humor, with a mind that splits somewhere between Sherlock Holmes and Mr. Rogers. By exploring your past experiences through narrative-based approaches, I aim to empower you with a person-centered perspective. You already hold the answers to your own questions, so my role is to guide and support you as you discover your own solutions. Think of me as your hype person: I'll kindly point out patterns that may be getting in the way of your goals.

While sitting in class, I listened to my classmates talk about the major impact therapy had on them. I’d heard of therapy before, but didn't grow up with the concept myself. Thinking back on my upbringing, I saw how many people in my community struggled without that kind of support.

I come from a family of helpers, and that legacy stayed with me. Today, I bring a calming atmosphere, humor, and, of course, a helping hand to lift you during the hard times.

My hobbies include art museums, concerts, nerdy things such as the Mile High comics, and going on adventures with friends.
