We are who we are for a lot of reasons, maybe we will never know most of them. But even if we can't choose where we come from, we can still choose where we go from there. -Stephen Chbosky, The Perks of Being a Wallflower This quote has always resonated with me as a clinician; there are many aspects of our lives, our stories, our families, and our circumstances that we may not have chosen and may not be able to change. However, there ARE many ways of processing these very important aspects of who we are. Therapy is a wonderful and fulfilling way to do just that. I'm glad you're here.
I currently maintain an all-virtual private practice and provide therapy to both individuals and couples. I am comfortable with a variety of presenting concerns and have a specialty focus of relational/couples therapy. I have completed Level II training in the Gottman Method for couples therapy, an evidenced-based approach to couples therapy.
I'd love to chat with you to learn about what's bringing you to seek therapy and to see if we'd be a good fit. Together, we will create a non-judgemental therapeutic environment with warmth, safety, support, and a sprinkle of humor. My practice is culturally- and trauma-informed and LGBTQ+ affirming and I have been seeing clients for over 7 years.
