Wendy Huang
I have over 15 years of experience providing therapy to late adolescents, college students, and adults. My areas of interest include eating disorders, family of origin issues, depression, anxiety, and second generation concerns, particularly for Asian Americans. I view clients and their issues within a sociocultural context and think about how the environment impacts a person and their issues. I work collaboratively with students in a warm, nonjudgmental manner.
My clients would describe me as warm, empathetic, and genuine while also providing concrete ways to move forward and heal. I work collaboratively with a focus on empowerment and providing a safe, nonjudgmental space. I think of therapy as a place for us to work together to understand how you have come to be where you are, figure out where you want to be, and then how to get there.
I work from a relational context but am integrative and draw from psychodynamic, CBT, narrative, multicultural, and evidence based approaches.
