Dr. Ryan Wilkes is an experienced psychologist who provides evidence-based psychotherapy for emerging adults, adults, and older adults.

While Dr. Wilkes has substantial experience treating a variety of people presenting with a wide range of mental health concerns, he specializes in trauma/PTSD; EMDR; anxiety; depression; mindfulness; therapy for emerging adults (18-30 year-olds); and military service members, veterans, and their families.

Dr. Wilkes is committed to evidence-based practice. This means he integrates the best available research and clinical expertise to deliver effective, gold-standard treatments for a variety of mental health concerns.

Humans learn best by doing and so therapy with me tends to be practical and action oriented. Therapy is listening and understanding. Therapy is also where the rubber hits the road because real change happens when we learn new skills and experiment with new behavior and ways of doing things. When provided with a safe, accepting space, all of us are able to change and grow and move more consistently toward those things in our lives that truly matter.

Dr. Wilkes is a licensed psychologist in Utah and Florida and has also obtained Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology. As such, appointments are available for Utah residents either in-person or via telepsychology (online therapy). In addition, telepsychology (online therapy) appointments are available to residents of Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Maine, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Jersey, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, and Wisconsin.
