Tyler Patchin
Provider Types
This is a group practice with multiple providers, including:
- Clinical Social Work/Therapists
Tyler’s lifelong desire to help people in real and measurable ways led him to the field of social work when he was a student at the University of Southern Indiana. “It’s such a privilege and honor for others to trust you with their life story. Helping people discover the potential they have is such a rewarding experience to be a part of.”
Tyler’s utilization of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in the clinical setting capitalizes on his natural ability to easily build trust and rapport with his clients. He is a highly skilled therapist who asks insightful questions of his clients to encourage their openness to changing established patterns so that they can grow into the people they want to be.
Tyler provides counseling services to older children, teenagers, young adults, and adults. He makes a conscious effort to utilize various Evidenced Based Therapy models during sessions with clients to ensure that his interventions are effective with measurable benefits such as improved relationships, decreased conflicts, increased self-knowledge, and the creation of overall positive changes.
Tyler has a special interest in Therapeutic Photography, which can aid in promoting the overall well-being of individuals, couples or families. Utilization of photography in the therapeutic setting increases positive self-talk and self-awareness which has far reaching impacts on many aspects of life.
Prior to joining the ahaNOW! family in 2017, Tyler worked extensively with various high school students throughout the area through Youth First, Inc., a non-profit agency in Indiana dedicated to strengthening children and families. He has vast experience working with teens and young adults and enjoys helping them navigate their entry into adulthood. He earned his Masters Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern Indiana in 2016.
In his free time, Tyler enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends. Traveling and being outdoors as much as possible are a high priority of his, and he tries to stay physically active by playing tennis and running on a regular basis.
