My professional experience has provided opportunities to work in a variety of clinical settings including correctional & substance abuse facilities. However, my work as a Child Welfare Caseworker has strongly driven my passion for working with children, adolescents, and adults as it relates to previous & current trauma, adoption, attachment, and relationship issues. Also specializing in anxiety, depression, grief/loss, adjustment, and other areas of concern. Together we will explore how negative thoughts and experiences have reinforced the perception of oneself and outside world, and how to replace negative thinking patterns to increase self-worth leading to fulfilling relationships and connections.
I view the counseling process as forming a trusting relationship with you to explore the nature of who you are, why you are, and the nature of the problems you face. I use an eclectic approach including a variety of counseling theories to meet an individual where they are at as a way to address their personal needs.
I am passionate about helping individuals determine or rediscover their values and beliefs which create their true authentic self, as my work is grounded in empathy, non-judgement, and inclusivity. Finding the right therapist to meet your needs is crucial, I am available as you take the next steps toward your mental health.
