Tidal Counseling, LLC
Mollie is a Licensed Professional Counselor who earned her Master’s in Counseling from Gonzaga University in Spokane, Washington in 2013. In addition to a license in Alabama, Mollie holds endorsements in Washington state including Child Mental Health Specialist. The majority of Mollie’s 7+ years in the field has been spent directly with children ages 4 to 18 years old and their families/caregivers focusing on ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, family issues, parenting struggles, oppositional defiance disorder and others.
Although Mollie’s professors always told her never to say her approach is eclectic…. her approach is eclectic. Every client comes to counseling with different history, personality and goals and so she has worked diligently to continue her training in different approaches that best serve whatever the client needs.
She is trained in EMDR for all ages with specialized content pertaining to EMDR with children. In addition to EMDR.
Mollie is a trained facilitator in the attachment-based parenting strategy of Circle of Security Parenting in order to help parents meet their children’s needs while not getting so down on themselves.
Mollie is also certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Plus
Mollie has advanced training and 2+ years of supervision in Child-Centered Play Therapy as well as continuing education training in Motivational Interviewing, Compassion Focused Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy.
She also believes that regardless of differences, every one of us is just doing the best we can do. It is with this perspective that Mollie meets her clients through the ebbs and flows of change.
