Melanie is a Trauma-Informed Licensed Master Social Worker from Winona State University and holds a Master’s in Education. Melanie strives to create an inclusive and affirming space where clients of all identities and lived experiences feel supported, seen, and heard. Her work is grounded in empathy and respect, with a strong focus on empowering youth to navigate life’s challenges. Melanie provides counseling support for self-esteem, anxiety/depression, trauma-related disorders, body image, identity exploration, and life transitions. Her approach combines play therapy, art therapy, trauma-informed, and person-centered care within a holistic framework. She has a passion for working with children, adolescents and young adults, especially supporting queer and gender-expansive youth. Melanie’s pronouns are she/her.
