Hello, I'm Tara. Life is often full of changes and transitions, and I am here to support you with navigating these times of growth. I typically take a cognitive-behavioral (CBT) approach but am also trained in other theoretical perspectives if CBT is not a good fit. I believe treatment is not a 'one-size-fits-all' and needs to be personalized to each individual seeking services. I truly enjoy working with people to support their growth as they learn new coping skills, expand on what they already know, or just become more empowered with best utilizing the potential within their own life.

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) who attended Smith College School for Social Work. I have over 10 years of experience across a variety of settings, including schools, offices, and hospitals. I am specially trained in TF-CBT (trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy) but also enjoy working with people through anxiety, depression, and life transitions. Additionally, I am able to conduct sessions in English or with American Sign Language.

My specialties include anger management, anxiety, children's mental/behavioral health, adolescent & teen mental/behavioral health, depression, family relationships, life transitions, PTSD (Posttraumatic Stress Disorder), intimate/romantic relationships, stress, trauma, ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder), autism spectrum support, developmental disabilities, and phobias. Whether you're dealing with a specific issue or just looking to improve your overall well-being, I'm here to help.

If you are ready to make a change, feel free to reach out. Let's see if we can work together to improve the areas of your life that are currently difficult for you.
