My name is Tamar June and I am a licensed clinical social worker in Maryland and Virginia. My clients are individuals of all backgrounds who are served by psychodynamic therapeutic support to live fulfilling lives. I work primarily with adults who are experiencing depression, post-traumatic stress, chronic illness, substance use disorders and relationship distress. I work from a model of gender-affirming care and offer therapy for transgender, non-binary and gender-diverse adults to support healthy relationships, expression and self-love.
I believe that all people deserve to be treated with compassion by others and by themselves. You are the expert of your feelings and values. My role is to help you realize and act within your values and encourage you in moving past thought patterns that are not serving you.
