You’re the overachiever, the strong one, the one who puts out fires, and keeps going in a crisis. Maybe you’re even more comfortable in a crisis than those quiet moments in between. Trauma can do that. It rewires our brain for survival so the crisis is when we best perform. But crisis mode, PTSD, it doesn’t work well for everything else. It can show up as constant exhaustion, anxiety spirals, difficulty finding joy, or just not feeling like yourself.
Therapy is a space for you to prioritize your needs. We’ll work together to help your mind and body learn how to relax and feel safe again. When you can get yourself out of crisis mode, you can get back to fully living and enjoying your life; prioritizing what matters to you, not just surviving the next crisis.
