Does school seem more difficult for you than your classmates?
Do you struggle with anxiety, depression, stress, loneliness, or body image issues?
Are you stuck in your career, marriage, or relationships?
Has a diagnoses left you stunned?

I hold a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Auburn University with emphases in Human Development and Family Studies and Community and Civic Engagement. I hold a Master of Social Work from the University of Alabama. My early experience includes medical social work at Clearview Cancer Institute. In addition to seeing clients at Huntsville Psychotherapy & Counseling Services (HPCS), I work as an Academic Interventionist serving high school students with disabilities and their families.

My areas of specialization and interests include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Grief and Loss, Adolescent/Young Adults, Anxiety, Coping Skills, Depression, Communication Skills, Individual and Personal Growth, Life Coaching, PTSD, and Relationship Issues.

Through my work, I am committed to helping people overcome anxiety, depression, and other stresses that affect all of us at some time in our lives.

I believe that healing is a collaborative effort, requiring honest caring without judgment. I work with clients to clarify their goals for treatment. I draw from a variety of methods to create a tailored approach for each client. As a therapist, I am warm, encouraging, and direct. I consider myself an active therapist, combining experience, education, creativity, and sense of humor with a realistic approach to counseling.
