Soyoung Yun
I believe that my clients, no matter their age, are the experts of themselves and believe in playing a supportive role in my clients' transformation toward restoration, self-empowerment, and healing. I have come to see how incredibly courageous and resilient individuals can be and find it to be a blessing and a privilege to be able to do the work that I do. I have specialized in treating survivors of abuse and trauma and received certifications to provide Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Treatment and work with survivors of violence, trauma, and torture, and currently working toward a certification in EMDR.
I also enjoy working with individuals and families dealing with a wide range of challenges including anxiety, depression, family systems issues and conflicts, difficulty with adjustments, grief and loss, and acculturation issues. I utilize Cognitive Behavioral, EMDR, and Narrative Therapy, as well as creative and play therapy techniques.
I am devoted to the field of counseling and helping people from all walks of life and circumstances and am honored to be invited into the lives of so many individuals. In addition, I am able to assist both English and Korean speaking clients.
