Sophie Sperry
Finding the right support can feel like a big step, and you deserve a space where you can show up exactly as you are. As a licensed clinical therapist with five years of experience, I help teenagers and adults navigate anxiety, obsessive-compulsive, and substance-related disorders, as well as the overthinking, negative core beliefs, relationship struggles, and ruminative thoughts that so often accompany them.
At the heart of my practice is a genuine belief in the integrity, dignity, and worth of every person I work with. Human connection matters deeply to me, and that belief shapes everything about how I approach care. Therapy doesn't have to feel stiff or one-sided. Here, it's a collaborative space where we process, reflect, and work toward your goals together, without judgment, and without pretense.
Authenticity is the foundation of everything we do in our sessions, which is why my approach is person-centered and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own life. Together, we'll explore the thought patterns that feel like they're holding you back and work through them at a pace that feels right for you.
Drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectal Behavior Therapy (DBT), Exposure Response Prevention (ERP), and psychodynamic therapy, the tools we use are always tailored to what fits your individual journey best. And yes, humor absolutely has a place here. We won't avoid the hard stuff, but we can share a laugh along the way. You can expect our work together to feel open, comfortable, and genuinely yours.
My path to becoming a therapist grew from a deep passion for advocating for and supporting others. Being someone people can turn to, knowing they'll be met with warmth and zero judgment, is something I take real pride in. (Fair warning: I may be a little nosy, but never in a way that isn't rooted in genuine care for you.)
That drive to show up for people, fully and without conditions, is what drew me to this work and what keeps me committed to it every day.
Outside of the office, you can catch me reading (mostly thrillers!), doing crafts, going to Pilates, having plenty of coffee, and spending time with my dog, Ludo. I enjoy horror movies and awful reality TV, and my favorite show of all time is Bob's Burgers. My music taste ranges from Green Day and MÃ¥neskin, to Britney Spears and Ella Boh, to the Mamma Mia! movie soundtrack (so I'm sure we'll be able to find some common ground somewhere).
