Skidmore Counseling
I am a student counseling intern at a private practice in Tucker Georgia. As a student intern, I am seeking clients, which means two great things for you! 1. I have a significant amount of supervision and guidance. 2. This is a very low-cost to free option. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology and am working towards my Master of Social Work and complete that in May.
I am dedicated to creating a welcoming and affirming environment for individuals of all backgrounds and experiences. I believe in providing a judgment-free space where clients feel safe to express themselves fully and authentically. I am particularly passionate about working with LGBT clients and individuals questioning their gender or sexuality. My goal is to offer compassionate support as they explore their identities and navigate life’s challenges. Whether facing anxiety, depression, grief, or significant life transitions, I am here to help clients build resilience, develop coping strategies, and move toward personal growth and healing. I am committed to walking alongside my clients through their struggles, offering tools and insights to foster emotional well-being and healthier relationships.
My approach is informed by a range of evidence-based therapies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Internal Family Systems.
