I work with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, and school/college related issues, such as relationships, self image/concept, academics, and life transitions. I use a culturally informed, client-centered perspective when working with people to honor the way in which individuals' unique experiences have shaped them. I aim to provide a safe and genuine environment, where thoughts and concerns can be discussed confidentially.
My experience as a school counselor has instilled my passion for helping students and families navigate the many challenges that are faced in and outside of the school setting. I partner with families, schools, healthcare providers, and other community resources to make informed treatment plan decisions and goals.
As an advocate for holistic healing and growing, I also offer a yoga teaching informed perspective to support the mind and body connection in the counseling process. This is particularly useful when stress is an issue. Counseling can offer ideas and skills for working through everyday challenges in a more strategic way.
