"Satori" is a Japanese word that captures a deep moment of insight— an awakening that brings clarity to the mind and peace to the heart. It’s a concept that mirrors the therapy process, where understanding and transformation unfold over time. At Satori Counseling, my mission is to support you on your path toward healing, growth, and inner peace. These ‘Satori moments’ don’t come overnight— they come through intentional work, self-reflection, and care. My hope is that this space becomes a safe and supportive place for you to process, grow, and heal at your own pace, with someone by your side.
I’m passionate about helping others through counseling and believe everyone deserves access to mental health support. My approach is warm, compassionate, and tailored to meet your unique needs because, well, humans aren’t robots.
Creating a space where you can feel comfortable, open, and honest is what I’m all about, iykwim.
As a therapist who’s been to therapy, I want to keep it real with you: therapy is hard work. It’s a lot of moving layers…the awkward beginning of telling a total stranger personal things about your life, the vulnerability of expressing emotions in a new space (maybe even for the very first time), the anger that can sneak up from sharing unresolved trauma, and the exhaustion from processing. But the truth is—it's worth it. You’re worth it. The work you put in can lead to real change. That can look like a deeper understanding of yourself, healthier relationships, stronger boundaries, more emotional clarity, or finding and claiming more peace. My role is to help you feel more grounded, more confident, and more connected to the life you want to live.
My areas of experience include supporting the LGBTQIA+ community, working with foster and adoptive families, and providing trauma-informed care. Whether you’re looking for gender-expansive care, support while navigating challenges that come with living authentically, guidance through the complexities of attachment and transition, or help with processing and moving forward from painful experiences, I will offer you a space of safety grounded in inclusivity, compassion, and deep respect for your life story.
