Sarah Matus
Are you overwhelmed & stressed, trying to get through classes and have a life? Do you feel out of control or not like yourself? Being a young adult is tough with social media & technology often overpowering everyday life, leaving people feeling disconnected. I excel at partnering with teens, young adults, and their families who are struggling with anxiety, depression, social isolation, & stress management. Allow me to help reconnect and guide you. This journey is about helping you to tell your story and to have healthier, stable relationships.
I have a strong background in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and use of mindfulness practices. I am nationally certified as a Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapist ( TFCBT) and Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT). I am trained in EMDR therapy to treat trauma, though I do not provide medication management.
I meet you where you are at. Honest, real change on your time. Office hours by appointment only are Tuesdays, Wednesdays, & Thursdays in West Hartford 12 - 8 PM. In South Windsor on Mondays 12 - 8 PM and Fridays 12 - 6 PM.
