Sarah Comito
I take a client-centered and individualized approach to therapy. Tailoring our work to your needs, goals, and what feels most helpful to you. My therapeutic approach draws primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I particularly value helping clients develop a more flexible relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions, better understand their emotional experiences and relationships, reduce avoidance, and take meaningful steps toward a life that is more aligned with their values.
I particularly enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, relationship and interpersonal concerns, identity exploration, and eating-related concerns. I strive to approach each client with curiosity, compassion, and without judgment, recognizing that meaningful change often involves both accepting where you are and taking intentional steps toward where you want to be.
