The college and graduate school years can be particularly hard. You may want to start counseling because you're struggling with stress and anxiety, depression, unhealthy relationships, traumatic experiences like sexual assault and emotional abuse, low self-worth, and unresolved family issues. Additionally, the events in our larger world--oppression, politics, the environment, financial instability--may impact your sense of safety and your motivation to keep building a better future.

I have been counseling culturally diverse young adults for 15 years, and I am confident that counseling can help you if you're willing to invest in this process. As a counselor, I will connect with you in a real way, be a safe and affirming person in your life, and help you move toward your goals.

If you've never been to counseling or had bad experiences in the past, it's normal to be hesitant and cautious about reaching out. I hope you will take the courageous step to contact me. I will do everything I can to earn your trust and help you feel comfortable working with me.
