Authentic Connections Counseling

Clinical Social Work/Therapist, LICSW
Accepting clients Last Updated 29 days ago

I am currently accepting clients for in person sessions. My office is walking distance from Quincy Center T Station.

The most important factor in therapy is the therapeutic relationship. Being able to connect with another human being and explore our innermost thoughts and feelings is where healing begins. I do not see an individual as a single entity, but an intersection of biological, psychological, and social influences. Gender, race, sexual orientation, a life change, an illness, a loss, a traumatic event that overwhelms our ability to cope, or something from our upbringing impact our sense of self and ability to cope; identifying the impact of these experiences and learning to cope more effectively is the main goal we work on.

Ideal client is 18+ and wants in person treatment. I work with people experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, and those who have been impacted by trauma. I also have experience with people of all genders struggling with substance use, self harm, suicidal ideation, and personality disorders. I have training in Mindfulness, CBT, CPT, and DBT.

I have experience working with people of all genders, sexual orientations, and racial/ethnic backgrounds. My style is eclectic and relational and typically I will use parts of each of these in order to collaboratively develop a treatment plan that meets your individual needs. I am not a "worksheet kind of therapist".
