Sadie Forsythe
I believe personal and societal difficulties are interwoven, and exploring our social context is an important part of understanding ourselves and the challenges we face. I support clients through many relational difficulties, whether its relationship with self, friends, family, etc. Gaining new insights and tools in therapy can help equip us to thrive in many life difficulties and transitions. I have additional training in the Daring Way™, a highly experiential methodology based on the research of Dr. Brené Brown. With both individuals and groups, I use this process to explore topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. Participants are invited to examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that are holding them back and identify the new choices and practices that will move them toward more authentic and wholehearted living. The primary focus is on developing shame resilience skills and developing daily practices that transform the way we live, love, parent, and lead.
I completed my training in the student counseling centers at both Emory & Penn and continue to enjoy working with many students in my private practice.
