Healing starts now! My name is Romy and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas. I am here to support you towards healing and I am proud of you for taking this step. When times get tough, I can help you figure things out or simply help guide you in the right direction. I have over 12 years of experience working with clients who are in college, living with stress, trauma, depression, anxiety, grief/loss, relationship concerns, career challenges, self-esteem, domestic violence, sexual assault, intergenerational struggles, and other life challenges. As a Latina therapist, I understand firsthand the cultural pressures to always be the "fuerte" (strong) one, the responsible person of the family, and the constant cycle of people-pleasing at the expense of your own well-being.
My therapy style is empowering, accepting, warm, and compassionate. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, strengths-based, DBT skills, problem solving, and motivational interviewing. No matter what issues you are facing, I will ensure that my therapeutic approach suits your unique needs. I work with young adults from diverse racial and cultural backgrounds. I also have a passion in supporting the challenges BIPOC communities face.

Together, we will honor your roots while unpacking cultural expectations, setting healthy boundaries, and building practical coping skills to help you heal, reclaim your peace, thrive, and increase your overall satisfaction with yourself.
