Robert Lae Wild
Adjusting to new cultures as an immigrant, starting a new career as the only queer person in your company, learning how to navigate spaces of affluence as a new university student from a working-class background, and other major life adjustments can be some of our most challenging life experiences, especially when our ability to cope and adjust is limited by difficult traumatic memories and the resulting constant feeling of being overwhelmed. A therapeutic approach that centers your cultural and material realities can help you overcome and build resilience.
I use an eclectic therapeutic approach incorporating various evidence based modalities in client centered, and culturally responsive way to facilitate the processing of traumatic memories, develop effective coping strategies to confront activating reminders of trauma, and ultimately support you as you rebuild relationships and pursue new opportunities.
To help someone heal from trauma is a radical act, and I am always honored to be trusted by survivors to do this work. I believe that we are all deeply connected and that my healing and liberation is tied up with yours. I am excited to join you on your journey of growth and recovery. Please know that you are not a burden, and I am here to support you.
Please reach out for a free initial consultation. We can discuss your needs. If it seems like we are not aligned due to finances or other reasons, I can help direct you to more appropriate resources. I was once in your shoes, and want to be the support I could have used back then.
