Robby Cale
My ideal client knows their concerns and is willing to work alongside me finding solutions that work for them with the ultimate goal of improving their overall quality of life. I have worked using a wide range of modalities, but find myself frequently utilizing CBT, DBT, solution-focused therapy, and motivational interviewing. With that said, I have a strong creative writing background, and feel that writing through experiences can help provide a sense of empowerment and insight. I also was raised by a group of yogis, who taught me of the mind-body connection and the many benefits of incorporating mindfulness practices into one's daily life. In terms of my formal training, I have worked in the social work and mental health fields since 2008, and have extensive experience working with all manner of demographics and diagnoses. I am a strong proponent of examining one's self-talk, as well as examining the ties shared among the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual, and aim to support clients in finding balance and fulfillment in all four areas. I also feel that therapy is about maximizing one's quality of life, and not merely about fixing one's problems. If your ideal life differs from from your current experience, I would like to help you explore how you can close the gap between the two.
