Brian is a Limited Licensed Counselor and Independent Contractor at Rising Sun Counseling. As a National Certified Counselor, Brian has worked with countless couples and individuals to help manage a variety of different challenges they may be facing, including anger management, anxiety, behavioral issues, codependency, depression, divorce, infertility, infidelity, men’s issues, relationships, and parenting. Brian works with ages 13 and up, both in-person and virtually.
Brian holds an undergraduate degree in Public Relations and a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.

Using an eclectic approach to counseling, Brian meets clients where they are, allowing for an opportunity to collaborate with clients to determine how best to approach their needs. This allows for guided conversation, with an empathetic, third-party in a completely safe, judgment-free, and collaborative environment. Brian’s goal is to provide an environment where you feel comfortable and supported.
With a diverse background, Brian’s initial interest in counseling happened during his undergraduate work, where he was a mentor in the ART of Leadership foundation, a program that taught leadership skills to inner city youth in the Detroit area.
