Starting therapy can be a challenging step, especially when seeking a therapist who genuinely understands your unique experiences and challenges. Recognizing this, I am deeply committed to empathizing with my clients and understanding their backgrounds to provide the most effective support. My name is Rhea and I am a therapist in-training at Sol Health. I am a second-year Mental Health Counseling student at Fordham University, with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Newcastle University, U.K. My journey into counseling has been profoundly shaped by my experiences as a South-Asian immigrant, inspiring my passion towards understanding each client’s identity and how it affects their mental health.

Dealing with mental health concerns can feel isolating and overwhelming. That's why I prioritize creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can be your authentic self and feel truly heard. Building a strong therapeutic relationship is at the core of my practice. I strive to be your ally, empowering you to explore your thoughts and emotions freely, without the burden of putting on a facade. My approach integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Therapy, and Mindfulness-Based techniques, while also incorporating spirituality into your healing journey when appropriate. Utilizing an intersectional framework, I address the diverse identities and experiences that shape your mental health. I believe therapy is a collaborative process, where your autonomy is respected, and you actively participate in your path to healing. Together, we will uncover insights and develop strategies tailored to your unique needs and goals.

My focus areas include, but are not limited to, addressing issues related to racism, college adjustment, transitional challenges, and the experiences of international students. I also support clients dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, LGBTQIA+ concerns, and relationship and family issues. I am dedicated to providing compassionate and effective care, particularly for individuals from marginalized communities, helping you overcome challenges and achieve personal growth. You don't have to face your struggles alone—I'm here to support you every step of the way.
