I am co-founder of Rivia Mind, an outpatient mental health center that focuses on delivering the best evidence-based mental health treatment. I am a clinical supervisor and educator for all clinicians in the practice, as well as manager of the group, helping ensure excellent care and quality customer service.
I graduated Phi Beta Kappa from MIT with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. I then pursued a medical education at Columbia University, where I earned my M.D. and a Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.), focusing on healthcare policy and management. I completed my residency training in Psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical Center / New York Presbyterian Hospital, followed by a research and clinical fellowship in forensic psychiatry at Columbia University. I have also had extensive training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at Columbia University.
In addition to extensive clinical experience, I have published articles and book chapters and given talks at a variety of conferences. My interests include human emotions, free will, ethics and policy in mental health, and innovation in healthcare. I am passionate about the role of psychotherapy in mental health, including CBT, humanistic, and psychodynamic approaches.
